Jack's POV

It was already night time and I'm still here in my office. I was staring at Elsa's stolen picture on my phone.

It's really hard for me to do what she wants. I have fallen for Elsa, and now she wants me to fall for her sister.

I know it's also hard for Elsa. Her lips said 'just do it' but her eyes said something more.

Her eyes were full of sadness and longing. It looked like she didn't want this to happen. But because she loves her sister, she did it.

I think Elsa is so brave to sacrifice everything for her sister. I think she really didn't want to hurt her sister with the truth, instead she chose to lie.

I stood up and brought a blanket. I went to Anna's room and saw Elsa sleeping on the couch. She was curled up in a ball and she was shivering.

I approached Elsa and put the blanket on top of her. She stopped shivering and smiled a bit. Seeing her happy makes me happy.

I stared at her and admired her beauty. I put the hair that was stickig on her forehead away. I kissed her forehead. I almost forgot that her sister was sleeping just in front of us.

"I love you... Please remember that..." I whispered softly to her ear and kissed her cheek. I stood up and left their room.

As I closed the door, I let out a sigh. When a guy loves too much, he would do anything for the girl he loves. And that's what I'm doig right now...

***

When I put on my coat, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in." I said. My back was still hurting because I slept at the couch in my office. I chose not to go home last night. Just in case Elsa needs me.

"Hey, Doctor Jack..." the door opened and I saw one of my friends. He is a nurse here and he chose to work for me.

"Hey, Nurse Kristoff." I said. He smiled at me and leaned against the wall.

"I have a patient right now and I'm giving you a job..." I said.

"Ok. What is it?" he asked.

"Well, help Ms. Arens monitor her sister daily. Bring foods everyday and such." I said and he hummed.

"Ok. It'll be easy for me since that's what I did to your sister when she was sick." he told me.

"Yeah..."

"Say what's the room number?" he asked.

"269..." I whispered.

"Okay, then. It's mornung so I should probably bring the breakfast. I'll get it in the canteen." he said quickly.

"Okay, thanks." I said and he left. I grabbed my thigs and went to room 269.

When I opened the door, I saw that Elsa was still sleeping. I looked at Anna and she was awake already.

"Good morning, Anna. How are you feeling today?" I asked.

"Good morning, Doctor Jack... Well, I feel sick. My knees are aching and there's some bruises on my arm." she whispered.

"Can I see the bruises?" I asked. She nodded and showed me her arm. There were purplish bruises and they weren't that big.

This is bad...

"Am I going to be okay?" she asked.

"Yes, you'll get better sooner." I told her.

"Okay. I just don't want my sister worrying about me. I feel like I'm dying." she laughed a bit.

These sisters really love each other.
No wonder why Elsa chose to sacrifice..

The door opened and I saw Kristoff carrying a tray with food. He brought bread and milk. He also brought oranges and apples.

"So, Anna. This is Nurse Kristoff. He'll be helping us monitor you." I said and moved aside.

"Hey, Anna. How are you?" he asked Anna and Anna smiled at him.

"I'm fine. Thank you." she said. Kristoff put the tray on the table attached to a stand. He put the table closer to her.

"You should really eat if you want to get better..." he said.

"Thank you." she whispered and got the bread. I heard someone groan and I lookedat my back. Elsa was waking up.

"Sh*t my back hurts." she whispered. She then noticed the blanket and her eyebrows furrowed. I looked away quickly.

"Elsa, I want you to meet Nurse Kristoff. He'll help us monitor Anna." I told her. Elsa quickly stood up.

"I'm Elsa. Anna's sister." she said and shook hands with Kristoff.

"Nice to meet you." Kristoff smiled.

"Elsa, I'd like to speak to you, privately?" I told her.

"Sure." she said and coughed awkwardly.

"Kristoff, please do accompany Anna." I told him. He nodded and sat down on a chair.

When Elsa and I were now alone outisde Anna's room, I sighed.

"The bruises on her arm and the aching of her knees are bad signs." I said. She was biting her nails. She seemed really nervous.

"Does this mean that she really has leukemia?" she asked me.

"Well, I shouldn't conclude now since it's too early. But those signs are close to telling us she has leukemia. We have to monitor her for a few more days..." I told her.

"Oh my God.." Elsa whispered and sat down on the chairs outisde Anna's room. I sat down beside her and pat her back.

She was now crying. She leaned her head on my shoulder and I put my arm around her.

"Jack. Please do everything to cure my sister... Please." she begged softly.

"Of course, Elsa.. It's my job." I said.

"Do you think there's some chance that it might not be leukemia?" Elsa asked.

I looked at her eyes. She looked hopeful. Hopeful that Anna doesn't have leaukemia. But I don't want to lie to her.

I want her to be ready.

"I think not...."
