sophia's pov

We all are walking and admiring the road, "it's exactly how I pictured it." I heard billy say, "yeah. suits you." agatha said.

I'm left behind by the both of them, I scoff. Feeling a sort of jealousy towards the two, seeing them both formed a bond with each other.

Lilia speaks up, "you didn't think it was real, did ya?" she teases Alice. She's unbothered but still shocked by it. "And you did?" She fires back.

Poor sweet sharon decides to say something, "You know what this is!" We all turn around to look at her, "This is a kidnapping, and I think it is high time we involve the local authorities." I wrap my arm around her as a sort of form of comfort. "Are we gonna ignore the fact something chased us down here?"

Me and Alice both look at each other and say at the same time, "chased agatha."

Agatha scoffs quietly and throws her hand up at us, "Okay, no cell service." Sharon says worried.

we return to walking down the path and I stay behind to guide sharon so she wasn't gonna run off. she launched for my arm to help her walk and i hear Lilia say,

"Well whatever chased Agatha down here, it's our problem now." I keep walking and stay silent.

"Is that because covens share blessings and burdens alike?" Billy said.

No one answered his question and just looked at him weirdly, "okay someone needs to call these kids parents." Jen said looking at me and billy.

"Oh I'm 100% positive they're sleeping," billy says "mine too." i raise my hand.

"Unless... is this like perpetual night? Like, as a vibe," billy said.

Sharon holding a grip tight on my arm decides to let go and walks away to agatha, "Okay. I am a member of the Westview Historical Society. All I would've expected to see down here were remnants of our failed public transit system." She said.

Jen speaks up, "Helpful interjection, random woman with no obvious magical qualities!" Saying very annoyed.

"Hey, she has a name! It's Mrs. Hart!" Saying as she puts an arm around her.

I walk more in front of the group, "Sharon." We both say, she just says oh and gives us a side eye.
"Well whoever she is, she has no business on the road." Jen says, Sharon immediately agrees while billy tries to convince her that anyone could be a witch with training. I groan and massage the headache forming on my head.

"Which puts the rest of us in even more danger and we don't even know what we're up against!" Jen lashes out with clear nerves in her voice.

We stay silent for a moment and Lilia repeats a lyric from the ballad, "Tame your fears' That's what we're up against." She looks around at us, "Our worst nightmares." She then looks at agatha. I gulp and start playing with my hair, whatever was out there could reveal my biggest weakness.

"But in what form?" Jen says widening her eyes, "trials." Alice said.

"At least that's what the song says," looking at the turned faces in front of her. "What are they like?" She asked agatha. We all turn to see if she'd respond.

She stays silent and thinks of something to say, "The road will test us and our knowledge of the craft. One trial for every skill." She simply said. Jen in very clear distress spoke up, "How do we pass them without any power?" She said looking ag the group of non powered people.

"Well, there's always analog magic." Billy said going next to agatha, completely forgetting I was even here. The real witches look at him weird and not convinced. "You know, labor-intensive, manual acts of magic," they still look at him with silence and lilia seemed to be furrowing her eyebrows.
