It was a Saturday night, Alice was scrolling on her phone on her bed, brain-rotting on Ticking. Then suddenly she got a text from a friend on the grid.
"Hey Alice, are you up?" Kara texted her.
Alice was surprised to see Kara Fujiwara, her rival and friend, texted her out of the blue. She immediately opened Whats'up and replied to her.
"Yeah, I'm up. What's up?" Alice asked her.
"I was wondering if you'd like to come with me to a drift competition tomorrow morning." Alice asked her.
"You drift Kara?" Alice asked her.
"Of course I do! So do you want to join me?" Kara asked her.
Alice began checking to see if her schedule was free. She noticed that she only had to do her English homework and pushed it aside.
"Yeah, I could. When are we going?" Alice asked her.
"Really? Great! Meet me at the Kota City's metro. See you there!" Kara told her.
The next day, Alice took the train to Kota City's Metro. She got off the train and headed to the lobby. As she stood there, she got a text from Kara.
"I'm outside the Metro, meet me at the car park." Kara told her.
"Ah, okay, I'll come outside." Alice replied.
Alice made her way to the car park, where she saw Kara in a modified GT86. It has a wide body structure and is coated in black. The colors were a bit fated, seemingly left unattended. Alice looked in awe and went up to it.
"Woah Kara, is this yours?" She said in admiration.
"It used to, I sold this car to a friend after I left for England. Then I asked if I could borrow it and he said sure. I'm surprised it was still intact!" Kara told her.
"Wait, so this is your car! It looks so cool with the wide body structure." Alice said to her.
"Thanks, shall we go?" Kara said to go.
"Yep, let's go!" Alice agreed to her.
Kara and Alice got in the car and she started the car. The GT86 engine roared as Kara revved it up. Alice enjoys the sounds of the car.
"Hold on Alice." Kara told her.
"Eh? Why?" Alice muttered,
Before saying anything, Kara suddenly stepped on the pedal and the GT86's rear wheel started spinning, producing smoke into the air. Alice who was not prepared held onto the passenger handle. Kara exited the parking lot and onto the main road, there were no cars in sight and Kara continued to drift on the exit and onto the Highway.
"Kara slow down!" Alice screamed at her.
They drove on the highway and made their way to a stadium where the drift was held. Alice stepped out of the car shivering. Still frightened by Kara's driving.
"We're here Alice, hey you okay?" Kara asked her.
"H-How is your driving license not suspended yet?" Alice said to her.
"I'm just good at avoiding the police I guess?" Kara told her.
Alice smelt burned rubber in the air and the sounds of scratching tires throughout the stadium area. Alice and Kara went over to the source of the sounds and saw a Nissan 350z and a Silvia S14 battling it out on the track. Alice and Kara watched in awe and saw how cool they were. As Alice stood there, Kara had to go somewhere.
"Hey Alice, I need to go somewhere for a bit, I'll call you when I'm finished okay?" Kara told her.
"Ah sure, I'm probably just going to watch them fight then. See ya later." Alice told her.
