Chapter 1: before the chaos

It was supposed to be their free day.

Dazai found himself doing something that he thought he would never do again on his life...

...paperwork.

Alright, Atsushi made most of them, but it didn't stopped the brunette to whine all the time while writing and typing on the computer.

After all Fyodor's drama, Ada was on peace with mafia by an alliance, but of course the incident let a lot of paperwork.

And that leads to their actual situation, where port mafia members were on the Armed detective agency's building helping with the paperwork.

Dazai was glad that his Partner decided to ignore his existence, he wasn't on the mood to tease anyone this day, the feeling that something bad was going to happen hit him since he woke up.

Unfortunately he was right.

Chuuya knew that something bad would happen this day, but he confirmed it once he arrived Ada.

He lived enough to know that every time Dazai was quiet, something really bad was going to happen.

The last time he saw his partner quiet was a day before Oda died. If It made Chuuya worry he wouldn't ever dare to say it out loud.

He took a deep breath, walking next to his partner's desk.

"Hey Mackerel" Chuuya offered quietly.

Dazai blinked twice, looking at the ginger without saying much "Hey Chuuya"

Like a red alert activated on Chuuya's head, he stopped breathing, there was no way that Dazai wasn't trying to tease him.

'He didn't even called me slug, what the fuck?!' Thought the ginger anxiously.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked, trying his hardest to not sound rude.

Dazai may annoy the shit out of Chuuya, but unfortunately the mafioso still cares for him.

"I just have a bad feeling" he mumbled while frowning his eyebrows.

They stood there on an awkward silence, the others around didn't even dared to say something.

Chuuya's eyes wandered around Dazai's desk, it was a truly big paperwork mess, it wasn't shocking since he used to make the same thing when he was on mafia, but one thing on the desk caught Chuuya's attention.

Between a lot of papers, a red book was hiding, it had no title, just a red leather cover calling for his attention.

"What's that" he asked grabbing the book.

The brunette looked at the book confused, as if he never saw it before.

"I don't know, that isn't mine" Dazai replied curiously.

Chuuya opened the book, it had more pages than it looked when it was closed. The first thing that caught his eyes, beside the pages' size and color, was the titles of the first page of the table of content.

Dazai's eyes widened as he finally realized what it was it.

"Chuuya...let it go very gently" he mumbled as if he was talking about a wild animal.

Chuuya got the message as he saw Dazai's eyes. This book was no simple book, it mas THE book.

The ginger carefully closed the book and put it on the table slowly.

They stayed in silence looking at the book for an entire minute.

"What the heck are you two doing" asked Yosano once she approached the scene.

Both of them made a sign for her to shut up, she raised her hands and walked away, deciding not to discuss about it.

The book was peaceful, layed on the paperwork, but it was like observing a bomb near to exploding.

And it did.

The book opened on a second, letting an intense white light of it. Now everyone's attention was on the book.

Chuuya grabbed the brunette arm and pulled him away as the book began to fly and roll the pages on a huge speed.

Then it stopped on a page, Dazai could barely see because of the light, but he could swear that he saw the number of the page.

7052.

The silence installed on the room was interrupted by a loud sound of a roar, echoing through the room. Some of them may have looked at Atsushi, because the boy quickly replied that it wasn't him.

The roar became louder and louder as the white light grows brighter.

A fucking platinum blonde tiger came out from the light.
