It was the last period before the school bell was set to ring. Narmadha kept glancing between the window and her watch, hoping that somehow, by checking often enough, the bell would ring sooner, letting her finally go home. She was particularly excited today because her older sister, Kaveri, had promised to bake a chocolate cake with her. There wasn't any special occasion—just that they both felt it had been too long since they'd done something fun together.
But suddenly, her teacher's voice boomed through the classroom, snapping her out of her daydream.

Narmadha's face went pale; she had completely forgotten about the project. She realized she'd be in big trouble if she didn't show up with her model tomorrow. The only solution she could think of was to ask her sisters for help. She vaguely remembered seeing Kaveri akka assist Yamuna akka with a similar project. Just then, the bell finally rang, signaling the end of the school day.
Once Narmadha reached home, she told her mum about the project and confessed that she'd forgotten about it and needed to bring a model to school the next day.

After freshening up and having lunch, Narmadha quickly rushed over to her sister's house for help. As she reached her sister's house, at the entrance, she spotted Thaatha, relaxing on the swing, while Vijay sat next to him on the sofa with a laptop, chatting about something. Thaatha noticed a shadow at the entrance and realized it was Narmadha. He invited her in with a warm smile. Vijay also looked up, saw Narmadha, and greeted her with a friendly smile.
Narmadha : Thaatha akka veetule illaya ? (She ask nervously)
Thaatha : Illaiye ma. Ungge akkavum Paatiyum velliya poyirukange. Ningge ellam etho cake seiya poringalame. Athukaga thaan saaman vaange poyirukange.
Narmadha : Oh apadiya (Said in disappointingly)
Vijay : Yaan ma ? Akka-ve ippove thedure ? Night thaane neenge rendu perum bake panna porratha sonna

Vijay shut his laptop and leaned forward to listen to what Narmadha had to say about her project.
