Title:

Watchtower Reflections

INT. WATCHTOWER - DAY

The camera pans across the high-tech interior of the Watchtower, filled with screens displaying various news feeds and superhero activity. CHLOE SULLIVAN, now a confident and capable young woman, is seated at a control panel, her fingers flying over the keyboard. She's focused, but there's a hint of fatigue in her eyes. The door slides open, and JOHN JONES, the Martian Manhunter, enters. He observes Chloe for a moment before approaching her.

JOHN JONES

(softly)

Chloe.

Chloe looks up, startled, and quickly masks her surprise with a smile.

CHLOE SULLIVAN

John! I didn't hear you come in. What's up?

John takes a seat across from her, his expression serious.

JOHN JONES

I wanted to check in on you. You've been working long hours lately.

Chloe shrugs, trying to downplay her exhaustion.

CHLOE SULLIVAN

You know me. There's always something that needs to be done. The world doesn't save itself.

John studies her, sensing the underlying tension.

JOHN JONES

That may be true, but you can't pour from an empty cup. You need to take care of yourself, Chloe.

Chloe's smile falters, and she leans back in her chair, crossing her arms defensively.

CHLOE SULLIVAN

I appreciate your concern, but I'm fine. Really. I've got everything under control.

John leans forward, his gaze steady and compassionate.

JOHN JONES

You're not just fine, Chloe. I can see it. You're carrying a heavy burden, and it's okay to admit that it's weighing you down.

Chloe's expression hardens, and she shakes her head.

CHLOE SULLIVAN

I don't need a therapist, John. I'm not some fragile damsel in distress. I can handle my own problems.

John raises an eyebrow, his voice calm but firm.

JOHN JONES

This isn't about being fragile. It's about being human. Even the strongest among us need support sometimes. You've been through a lot-losing friends, facing threats, and carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.

Chloe's defenses begin to crack, and she looks away, her voice softer.
