A man stood before his friend in the ruins of what used to be his village. It had been years since the destruction yet the village was still healing and mending. The villagers had gotten together to support, mend and heal their broken lands and hearts. Families had lost daughters, sisters and sons. Yet the man standing in front of his friend saw determination and a hunger for finding the one who clouded his dreams, nightmares and heart.
With a heavy sigh, he stepped forward and spoke. His voice rough yet held a gentle edge to it as he spoke to his chestnut haired friend with a fragile heart and death wish
" You wish to find her.... it's been years my friend. She could be -"
But his friend cut him off with a raised hand and anger in his dark eyes as he practically hissed
" She's alive.... she's alive and I have to find her!"
With that the chestnut haired man turned to leave yet the man stopped him saying
" Stop you fool " with a heavy sigh he stepped forward and said quietly
" I'll join you, we'll travel together. You and I"
The chestnut haired man smiled faintly and said in a softer voice slightly confused
" You'll travel with me? But why? "
The man rolled his eyes and said as if it was obvious, as if his friend should have already knew this.
" Wherever you go I'll follow, just like when we were children Leo "
Leo smirked, his once said eyes turning slightly brighter. It was his first genuine smile in years as he pulled his friend into a tight hug and clapped his back saying
" Thank you Aleksandr"
