"You know you're frightening me", Amna said while wrapping her arms around herself protectively, eyes-wide glued to the T.V. screen.

Ayse teasingly tries to scare her by touching her here and there seeing how immersed she is in the movie.

Seeing her reaction, meek voice, and frightened eyes, throwing her head backward, Ayse barked a laugh.

"Ya Allah, Amna you don't seem like an adult."

Amna shoots her a glare telling her 'Shut Up' while munching on chocolate.

They both were sitting in the living room watching a horror movie, as Ayse planned to stay tonight, they both decided to do a movie marathon AKA girls night which includes watching movies after movies, eating, drinking and having fun. The environment was an opulent oasis where the senses converged in a harmonious view of golden hues, muted tones, random hush and silken shadows.

This has been their ritual for the last 5 years, whenever one of them had a bad day or was feeling low, they always used this method to cheer up. Both of the girls were snuggled into the soft warm blanket, the cocoon of comfort.

"You still haven't mentioned about your Mr." Ayse teased her best friend trying to distract herself from the ghoul making an appearance on the screen. Amna's cheeks turned bright red, giving her away.

"What about him?" she mumbled, pulling her legs into her chest and puts her chin on it.

"Anything" Ayse shrugged her shoulders and moved her gaze towards T.V. The female lead was getting dragged by the shadow, only his hands were visible, she immediately turned her eyes on Amna.

"I miss him" her best friend confessed meekly, earning a chuckle from Ayse.

"Mhmm, I can see it very well. When is he coming to his wife by the way?" Ayse wiggled her eyebrows with a smirk.

"Haye Allah" she breathed, "He had things to handle at home. He can't be with me as you already know my rukhsati is yet to happen." she speaks while crunching the wrapper in her left hand and fumbling her right hand on the couch hunting for another chocolate. Her eyes seem lost in the memories.

Amna took a deep breath and smiled at Ayse.

"What about you? When are you planning to bring my brother-in-law home?" she changed the subject, a smirk directed onto her bestfriend.

"Ugh Amna not you please I am already done with everyone forcing me to marry a stranger."

"But you know you have to. One day. And isn't it a good thing that you will also have someone who is going to love you?" she raised her left eyebrow, smirked melted into a small gentle smile, her eyes carrying familiar warmth.

"Love huh" Ayse scoffed. "Why would a woman with a sane mind believe the rubbish you are blabbering to me? I can not expect a random stranger to love me out of the blue. Stop feeding me crap, my delusions." she threw a pillow at her friend's face.

Amna burst into a fit of laughter.

"Mi lady, everyone marry a stranger. We get to know them better when they become our better half."

"But you knew your husband before Niqah." Ayse pointed out.

"Because he was my first cousin, my Taya Abbu's eldest son duffer." Amna rolled her eyes at Ayse, bewildered with her questions.
