Most people know the Island of Sodor as a jolly place where Thomas The Tank Engine and his friends would work on the North Western Railway otherwise know as The Fat Controller's Railway, but not anymore, it had changed ever since Dieselisation came about with Sir Topham Hatt III being booted off the island, the island itself had changed from being a green and blue lovely area into a dirty grey island that held the title of being the biggest industrial area in the world.

Out of all the engines that have survived this transition into the industry we see ourselves following Henry the green engine who used to be the number three on the NWR but now had been forced into a life of moving oil and fuel from factory to factory, he had no shed and no place to sleep at the end of the day all he could do was stay in the siding he delivered his most recent train to and doze off.

It was a normal day on the Island of Sodor, the chimneys was filling the air with smog, the diesels were whirring to life and flying down the line with their large trains. Henry was just waking up still in the siding where he dozed off, large diesels flew by on the bridge above him, he wasn't surprised to see these large diesels drive by as he was in one of the busiest parts of the island, it is called I.K which stands for Industrial Knapford, yes you're right, Knapford had been turned into a bustling industry where it was loud and never quiet.

Henry started moving steam pumping out his funnel and mixing with the black smoke coming from the large chimneys towering over him as he moved through out the industrialized yard, he stopped at the points and waited for the signal to turn green, a big blue diesel rushed by with a goods train and soon later the signal changed to green allowing Henry to leave, henry then stopped and reversed into a corner of the industrialised area.

There was the old Knapford sheds, one of the only parts of the island that remained untouched by the factories as the new owners deemed it unfit for industrialisation. As Henry backed down onto the turntable it was turned by one of the workers who would travel to the island by a large work train the was called the works express, Henry then reversed into the birth and saw a familiar face in the shed next to him, it was Edward he hadn't been used in years, he smiled at Henry he had a black eye and had been rusted all over.

Henry smiled back at Edward "Hello Henry, how are you?" said Edward.
"I'm alright Edward, just been slaving away to these idiots at top" replied Henry
Edward chuckled, "At least you're still working Henry, I've been stuck here for years after the accident"
Henry's smile faded, "I'm so sorry about that Edward..."
"don't be it wasn't your fault a diesel ignored a red signal and hit your train into me." replied Edward.
