Chapter 1

Joy and relief were felt in both cars towards Seoul, South Korea's most dynamic city. Some of us who had just finished the year-end exams, really needed to decompress. So Hongjoong, our 'Leader' came up with the wonderful idea of going all together and finally being able to release all the stress that has been accumulating over the last few weeks.

We split into two cars to join us in the famous capital. Hongjoong drove the first car and carried Yunho, Yeosang and Mingi with him. Seonghwa was driving the second car with San, Wooyoung, Jongho and me of course.

I was sitting in the passenger seat next to Seonghwa, my sweet boyfriend. We've been together for two years already. And I can tell you that the last two years have been the best I've ever experienced. On the one hand, I was finally part of a group of friends who liked me and on the other hand, I had finally found my great love.

I could hear the sweet melody of the song on the radio, Starry Night of Standing Egg. A fine breeze of wind squeezed through my hair and made it float in the air. Seonghwa mumbled the lyrics of this sweet song while having his hand resting on my thigh. This moment could have been so pleasant and peaceful if...

"Are we there soon ? " Ask Wooyoung, excited to leave our small remote village in the countryside.
Seonghwa looked in the rear-view mirror and met Wooyoung's impatient gaze before sighing and saying, "Are you serious?" I just got out of the village..."

"Oh yes it's true!" he said before diving back on his phone. Seonghwa redirected his gaze to the road. A few seconds passed before I asked him, "Do you know where we're going? Hongjoong didn't tell anything to anyone because he wanted it to be a 'surprise'..."

While keeping his gaze on the road, Seonghwa replied with a smile, "It was really important to him to please you after this stressful time! I don't know what he's planning to do but I just know we're going to Gangnam-"

"Are we there soon ?!" Wooyoung cut Seonghwa's word into the sentence. San who was sitting next to him looked at him in a strange way before saying, "Dude, you asked for it just 30 seconds ago!"

"I don't know but maybe we'll get there faster if I ask several times along the way!" Said Wooyoung in a somewhat defensive way.
Jongho who was sitting on the other side of Wooyoung took off his headphones and sighed before saying, "It's exactly the opposite... It will be ten times longer if you don't stop talking..."

" Why do you always have to kill the mood Jongho ? Come on guys I know you all love my humor ! " Wooyoung said waiting for everyone to say yes but...
"NO !" We all replied at the same time making Wooyoung's jaw drop.
"You're all mean ! Anyway...Are we there soon ? "
" WOOYOUNG !"

Time skip

We finally arrived at our destination after more than an hour. Hongjoong had rented a small house in the center of Gangnam that could accommodate us all. There were three bedrooms, a living room and a small kitchen, what more could you ask for?

"Okay, everybody, listen to me!" Hongjoong called us all into the living room after we had taken out all our suitcases." I propose that today we rest and order food because it is still quite late now, what do you say?"

Everyone agreed to order fried chicken (well, Yeosang insisted on eating this) . When the order came, we all sat in the living room in front of the series 'The Walking Dead'.
" Why do we always have to look at scary things ?" Ask an annoyed Mingi.

"Come on Mingi, Don't be a coward for once! said Yunho as he hit Mingi on the back. "Frankly you should be much braver! What would you do in front of one of these zombies? You wouldn't even last 10 seconds!" Yunho continued with a laugh.

Mingi pushed back Yunho's hand, "We know very well that there aren't all these silly stories!" Everyone started laughing, and San said, "Wouldn't you try to change the subject, Mingi?" Frankly we all know you'd be the first to get bitten here!" All the boys confirm what San said while continuing to make fun of him.

Having trouble for Mingi, I detached myself from Seonghwa's arms and said, "Come on guys be nice to him for once... in short I brought a cake with me, who to taste it?"
Jongho replied directly, "You want to try to poison us, right?" I glare back at him years said sarcastly, "Ha ha you're so funny Jongho!"

Seonghwa put his hand on my lower back and reassured me by saying, "Of course we want to taste it, my love! You should go get him now." Everyone nodded and Jongho pretended to throw up. When I got up and walked behind him, I hit him on the back of his head.

I walk into the kitchen and took a knife with nine plates in all. All of a sudden, I hear something knocking on the door. I hear Mingi shouting "I'm going!" So I start cutting the slices carefully when I hear a big noise coming from the entrance.

"Are you okay, Mingi?" I asked him, but I don't hear anything apart from the laughter coming from the living room. "Mingi?" I try again to call him but it's still silent on his side.
So I start to head to the entrance with my hand clasped around the handle of the knife.

What I saw made me immediately drop my knife. I stared in horror at the scene unfolding before me. The cold air coming from the wide open door made me shiver...or was it the fact that I saw Mingi on the ground with a man covered in blood trying to bite him...
