I laid down on my bed,
staring out the window,
listening to the soft pitter pattern of the raindrops against my concrete driveway.
My breathing slowed, matching the hypnotizing melody of the sky,
reminiscing over the memories from when we'd drive back home from school,
my sister and I watching the water droplets race against the car window.
Nostalgia washed over me,
what simple times those were,
but now?
Now rain was a reminder that nature had emotions too.
The cloud's shoulders could no longer bear the heavy burdens,
So rain came pouring down,
The sky screamed in agony as thunder rang in my ears.
Every time it rains, it reminds me that I'm a little bit like the sky,
Because when the weight on my shoulders gets too heavy , the tears come rushing out.
When the noises in my head get too loud, my screams echo against the walls.💜💜💜
