CHAPTER TWO
RAFE.

Annabeth watched when Sarah got off the bed to open the door to reveal someone older..

Two years older.

"Sarah, dad said he wants to talk to you- who's this?" He asked, when Sarah rolled her eyes at him.

"My friend, Annabeth. She's next door to our house." She said to her brother.

He nods and looked right at Annabeth into her greenish eyes. "Hi."

"Hello." She replied back as Sarah rolled her eyes "I'll be back Anna okay?"

Annabeth nodded when Sarah left her alone with.. Sarah's older brother..

She nervously gulped and took a breather. "Um so.. you're her brother?" She eventually asked.

"Yeah. I'm rafe and you're annabeth." He said staring down at her.

"So um what do you do-" she started to say out loud before he quickly interrupted.

"I'm at the country club." He said as she raised her eyebrows with no clue what that was.

"What is that?" She asked a bit lost, hoping he'd wouldn't judge her for not knowing what it was.

"I'll show you later, if you're up for it." He said crossing his arms when she had nodded.

At the chateau.

Maddie looked around amazed at the building, it wasn't much but she liked the interior and exterior of it.

"Woah.." she mumbled when she had finally walked inside, to see pictures, things around.

"Pretty cool right?" John B asked when she looked over at him. "Yeah really cool!"

Kiara rolled her eyes, when she walked away from the group.

"What's her problem?" She asked the group when pope answered. "She has a problem.. with kooks like yourself."

"Kooks?" She asked tilting her head in confusion. "What's
that?" She asked

still a bit lost of what that even meant.. to be particularly honest.

"It's like a rich person." John B tells her softly as she nods "oh."

"Yeah... she'll come around" pope answers when JJ walked over. "Woah, you'd let a kook in?"

"JJ." John b said shaking his head "hi. I'm Maddie." She replied..

"JJ." He says staring at the red headed girl. "Since when were kooks red headed.. I'm curious."

"Never?" Pope replied and then Maddie spoke up "that's cause I'm new around town.."

Pope and JJ nodded when John b rubbed the back of Maddie's shoulder.

"How about I give you a tour around the chateau?" John B requested, making her nod immediately.

"Okay. Let's go!" She says when John B grabs her hand leading her around the chateau.
