Ecclesiastes 11:9 (ESV) - "Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment."


Personal Reflections:

It beckons me to dance in the light of opportunity and to embrace the fervor of life while it still courses vibrantly through my veins. Oh, how easy it is to get lost in the mundane, to drown in ambitions that feel heavy and burdensome! Yet, this verse gently nudges me, urging me to let laughter and joy of my youth unfold, to let my heart spin wildly in the direction of my passions.

In this season of my life as a college student, I have been deliberately weaving the threads of my many interests; creative writing, music, and serving those who find themselves without a stable home. I recall a sun-drenched afternoon not too long ago; I had just wrapped up a workshop on character development in writing.

Excitedly, I rushed to join fellow students at a community theater, where we immersed ourselves in a heart-stirring musical. As the melodies soared, igniting our shared spirits, I felt an electric connection with my peers; a sense of shared dreams and unspoken hopes.

The words of Ecclesiastes hang in my heart like a cherished refrain: "Rejoice, O young man, in your youth." Here, I find encouragement to embrace the boundless possibilities before me, to immerse myself in creativity without the fear of failure draping over my shoulders like a heavy cloak. 

I am learning to cherish the fleeting moments, realizing that youth, though transient, is a canvas painted with experiences and connections that shape us into who we are meant to be. Indeed, I can feel the delicate rhythm of time urging me to press onward, to explore, and to cultivate a tapestry of memories that resonate with joy and authenticity.

During my time volunteering at the local shelter, I encountered lives with rich with stories, each one a page filled with challenges and triumphs. This experience reminds me that we grow not only in our pursuits but also through the compassion we share. Each smile and heartfelt conversation fuels my journey, grounding me in our shared humanity.

As I navigate this vibrant season of youth, I am determined to dance not just for myself but for others as well. Heeding the wisdom of Ecclesiastes, I recognize that my joy is linked to the joy of those around me. Life is a precious gift, a beautiful tapestry of choices, and I'm committed to embracing each moment with gratitude and an open heart.

Here I stand, an eager creator on the verge of my dreams. I will celebrate this season, let laughter flow through my days, and weave love into every chapter of my story. In this fleeting time, I rejoice in my youth, ready to illuminate the paths of those who walk beside me.

Above all, I am grateful for God, whose love inspires me to serve and lift others. In His light, I find my purpose and the strength to dance through life with joy and compassion, knowing that with each step I take, it reflects His grace. Amen!
