The mansion was unusually quiet that day, the soft hum of activity replaced by an unsettling stillness. Minho had been going about his usual routine when he suddenly noticed Daisy’s absence. It was strange for her to be gone for so long without a word, and a tight knot of anxiety formed in his stomach.

“Daisy?” he called out, his voice echoing in the empty hallways. There was no response. He searched through the expansive rooms, checking the library, the garden, and even the kitchen, but she was nowhere to be found.

The minutes turned into hours, and the worry gnawed at him. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. He knew Daisy had a tendency to retreat when she needed space, but this felt different. The house, usually filled with her laughter and spirited conversations, felt too empty without her.

As he rounded a corner in one of the quieter hallways, he spotted something out of the ordinary: the door to a small nook was slightly ajar, a sliver of light spilling out. Intrigued, he approached cautiously, the knot in his stomach tightening further. Pushing the door open, he was met with a sight that made him both relieved and amused.

There, nestled in a corner, was Daisy, cocooned in a soft blanket and completely engrossed in a movie playing on a small screen. The film was “Little Women,” and from the looks of it, she was watching it for the fifth time that day, her eyes sparkling with emotion.

“Daisy!” he exclaimed, a mix of exasperation and affection washing over him.

She jumped slightly at the sound of his voice, looking up at him with wide eyes, a hint of guilt creeping into her expression. “Hi, Mino,” she replied, a sheepish smile breaking across her face.

“What are you doing here all alone?” he asked, stepping into the room and closing the door behind him. “You had me worried sick!”

Daisy wrapped the blanket tighter around herself, a soft blush creeping onto her cheeks. “I just… wanted some time to myself,” she admitted, glancing back at the screen. “Sometimes, I just feel like a kitten that needs to find a cozy corner to hide away in.”

Minho couldn’t help but chuckle at her comparison. “You really do have that habit, don’t you?” he said, shaking his head in disbelief. “But you know you can always talk to me. You don’t have to disappear like that.”

“I know,” she said softly, her gaze falling to her lap. “It’s just nice to escape into a story sometimes. This movie makes me feel… everything.”

He moved closer, sitting down beside her on the plush carpet. “What do you love about it?” he asked, genuinely curious.

Daisy took a moment, her eyes lighting up with passion. “It’s about family and the different paths we take in life. Each sister is so unique, but they still support each other. I just… I love the idea of being part of something like that, of having people who care about you no matter what.”

Minho’s heart swelled at her words. He could see how deeply she resonated with the story, the longing in her voice echoing his own desire for connection and belonging. “You’re part of my family now, you know that, right?” he said gently. “You don’t have to search for it anymore.”

Daisy turned to him, her eyes searching his. “Really? You mean it?”

“Absolutely,” he assured her, his expression earnest. “You belong here, with me.”

A shy smile broke across her face, and Minho felt a rush of warmth. He leaned back against the wall, glancing at the movie screen, but his focus was solely on her. “What do you say we watch it together? I could use a little ‘Little Women’ in my life too.”

Her eyes widened in delight, and she nodded eagerly. “You’ll really join me? Even if I’ve seen it five times today?”

“Why not?” he replied with a grin. “I’m sure I’ll get a kick out of watching you react to it.”

Daisy chuckled, her heart lightening at the thought of sharing this moment with him. She shifted to make room for him, and as they settled into the cozy corner, Minho draped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer.

As the movie played on, Daisy felt safe and content, the warmth of Minho’s presence wrapping around her like a protective blanket. She had found her corner, not just in the physical sense, but in Minho’s heart—a place where she could be herself, quirks and all, surrounded by the love and understanding she had always yearned for.

And as they watched the story unfold, Daisy realized that she didn’t have to hide anymore; she was exactly where she was meant to be.
