One evening, after the Christmas festivities had wound down, Clara sat by the fire and stumbled upon an old letter written by her father, tucked into one of his journals.

In it, he wrote about his dreams for the farm and for Clara, expressing his hope that she would one day see the farm as more than a duty—that it would be her sanctuary, her joy.

Reading his words, Clara felt her heart swell with emotion.

It was as if he had written them just for her, knowing she’d need a reminder to hold close to the values he’d taught her.

She tucked the letter back in its place, feeling a renewed commitment to the farm and to embracing life with an open heart, just as her father had done.
