At the end of A Winter’s Promise, on Christmas Eve a year after they’d first met, Jack and Clara returned to The Memory Tree.

With a small carving knife, they etched their initials together, symbolizing their commitment to each other and to the life they’d built on the farm.

Surrounded by the symbols of past Christmases and the love embedded within the bark of the tree, they felt a deep sense of belonging—to the farm, to the community, and to each other.

Jack pulled Clara close, whispering, “This is only the beginning, Clara.

Each Christmas from now on, we’ll come back here and add to our story.”

With a smile, Clara kissed him, feeling the warmth of both the past and the future in that quiet, snow-filled night, knowing that together, they would continue her father’s legacy and build one of their own.
