The day was was gloomy as it seemed to be in recent days, even when the sun shined it's brightest it never seemed to lighten the mood for one small child. With a careful knock the the little one enter the room to his mother laying sick on the bed. "M-mother" He said with a soft voice. "How are you feeling today?" He asked placing a new warm rag on his mother's forehead. The mother pale face weakly let out a smile as she rubbed the small boys face. "I'm fine my dear child. But why are you not outside playing with the other children?" She asks. "The others don't want to play with me because of how frail I am, besides I much rather be here by your side." The mothers eyes glowed with sadness and appreciation at the young boys words. "My sweet Feng always so considerate thinking about others, but don't waste your time clingy on to me. I fear I won't be with you much longer." The mother replied hugging the child.
Outside the mothers room the three elder brothers sit listening to the conversation. "Hmph, mother rarely ever speaks to us like that." One scoffs. " Little brat has always her favorite, and it doesn't help with how much the runt looks like her." The oldest adds. "We do our fair share but what does Feng do, we can even marry em off to another because of how sick he looks." The youngest of the the comments. "Who's fault was that, you're always eat his food behind mother's back!" The oldest laughs. Then a cruel idea pops up in the middle brothers head. "You know maybe their is something we can do to get rid of em and get the money we need to get mother better care." "Is that so?" says the younger in anticipation. "Yes but first we need Fathers approval."
Later in the week the 3 elder brothers enacted their plan in the middle of the night. Barley making a noise the 3 grabbed their from his bed dragging him outside. Feng used to his olders brothers harassment expected another beating as they had usually done, not knowing something worst was planned for him. "Sorry brat but it's been decided that this family would be better without you!" Feng hearing these words became filled with horror. "Do they intend to kill me!? I know they hated me, but I'm their own flesh and blood! Is this really how it's going to end!" He thought as he desperately began to struggle. With a swift punch to the stomach his struggles are halted. "Don't worry we're not cruel enough to kill you. In fact you should be thanking us, you're going to be living the Royal life like you always wanted" The oldest brother says before knocking their young Feng unconscious.
After some time Feng woke up confused and unaware of his surroundings. "W-what happened? Where am I?" He asks himself. As the small boys vision finally clears he realizes he's in the back of a prisoner wagon. Panick begins to fill his mind as he begins to realize what has happened. "No... No!" He screams running to the bars. "Mother! Please help me!" He calls as the tears begin to fall like rain. "How could they, their own brother! WHY!" He crys now pounding on the bars desperately trying to break free. "Quiet back there!" The wagon driver calls startling the child. "Unless you want me to leave you in the middle of nowhere for the animals or bandits to get you I suggest you shut it!" With no other choice the boy does his best to hold in his crys as the trip continues.
After a long painful trip the boy is brought to the servants quarters of castle of the Leaf. The place the young Feng once dreamed of going to now felt more like a nightmare than a dream come true. "They really sold me away." The boy said still in disbelief. With no time to adjust the boy was quickly given his servants dress and put to work in the squires quarters. Upon arrival the boy was passed by a slightly older boy wearing his helmet. The boy boy in the helmet stopped upon walking by staring at Feng before continuing on. "Wow, he usually just ignores everyone when walking by, he must look like you." A female squire teased startling the boy. "Oh sorry my bad, my name is Mizuki and that was J-Lin nice to meet you." The girl said cheerful. "Uh... I-im-" The boy stuttered before getting cut off. "Mizuki! Stop falling behind we're on our rove!" J-Lin called back. "See you later uh-uh." "F-feng" He answered softly. "Feng got it, bye!" She waved before running off.
As days passed Feng continued his work longing to go home wondering if his mother was ok. To ease the pain of his circumstances he would work as hard as his small body could go even through the on and off sicknesses. Eventually his work was noticed by the princess of the Leaf Ayama. The two form a close bound as the kind Amaya acts as the boys mother once did, nurturing him back to health and always having the young servant by her side. For the first time in a long time felt some semblance of joy once again.
