Snuggled on my sofa,
Too bored to do anything,
I close my eyes-
And once again,
There I stand
On the "Stairway to Nothingness."One might wonder:
What's so great about nothingness?
Make no mistake,
'Coz what lies beyond
Is anything but nothing-
A dramatic irony
To what the name suggests.Lo and behold,
The mountains lie before me,
Draped in white,
Embracing the celestial blues
Of the sky.
Their union so strong,
It froze the whole of Dachstein.
And there I stand
With my husband,
Thawing ourselves
With sips of Apfelpunsch,
Blessing our eyes
With white and blue-
The colors of purity. And now, as I open my eyes,
I am content,
Snuggled once more on my sofa,
A cup of coffee warm in hand.- Gamana
