"You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!" Hermione from the past said. I was completely puzzled and shocked at seeing us from the past.

"That's us," I stated with confusion as Eric and Ron from the past scolded Hermione from the past.

"This is not normal," Harry added, just as confused as I was. Hermione quickly grabbed me and my brother, pushing us against the wall to keep us hidden before explaining,

"This is a Time-Turner. McGonagall gave it to me first term. This is how I've been getting to my lessons all year."

"You mean we've gone back in time?" I asked, trying to wrap my head around it.

"Yes." Hermione tucked the Time-Turner away as she continued, turning to watch us from the past again, "Dumbledore obviously wanted us to return to this moment. Clearly, something happened he wants us to change."

As we watched Hermione punch Malfoy, I cringed at the thought of how much it probably hurt while Harry complimented her,

"Good punch."

"Thanks," Hermione chuckled before pushing us away, "Malfoy's coming."

As the three of us ducked behind the stone structure at the end of the Wooden Bridge, I heard Nott and Crabbe shout,

"Run."

"Get away from me!"

"Not a word to anyone, understood? I'm going to get that jumped-up muggle-born! Mark my words!"

Hermione from the past spoke once the Slytherin boys were gone,

"That felt good."

"Not good, brilliant."

"Come on. We should be at Hagrid's."

As the five of us from the past ran down toward Hagrid's hut, Hermione, Harry and I carefully followed to hide behind the giant rocks at the top of the hill. As we looked down at Hagrid's, I smiled,

"Look. Buckbeak's still alive."

"Of course," Hermione said with realization in her voice, "Remember what Dumbledore said? If we succeed, more than one innocent life could be spared. Let's go."

Hermione pushed us to head down the steps of the hill. Once we made it down, we moved to hide behind the giant pumpkins, watching ourselves and Hagrid through the window. At the sound of the crows, we looked over to see Professor Dumbledore, the Minister for Magic and the executioner making their way down.

"Here they come," Harry said, moving to stand, "We'd better hurry."

I went to go with my brother, but Hermione grabbed us and pulled us back down,

"Fudge has to see Buckbeak before we steal him. Otherwise, he'll think Hagrid set him free."

I nodded with understanding before we returned to watch our past selves through the window.

"Scabbers, you're alive!" Ron from the past smiled, taking the rat from Hagrid. As Hagrid scolded my red-haired friend, anger toward the rat filled me,

"Keep a closer eye on your pet, Ron."

"That's Pettigrew," my brother said from beside me, rage lacing his tone. Harry started to stand, but Hermione and I both grabbed him as she scolded,

"Harry, you can't."

"Hermione, that's the man who betrayed our parents. You don't expect me to sit here."
