"Some people do love you, but they love the control they have over you, and they'll do anything just to keep you close. They do care, love and wants to be free from their own possession but because they can't bear to lose their grip on you, they trap or manipulate you. And that's not justified in anyway."
(Disclaimer - I don't support manipulation or toxic nature. This is just a novel.)

Irfan's eyes narrowed, his voice laced with disdain. "Arhaan, what did you gain from all this drama?"
"She chose to stay," Arhaan replied, his voice low and husky.
His smile and his eyes glinting with a sinister light.
Irfaan face twitched in disgust, "Really? Then, what's the difference? She was already caged and forced by you, I had told you earlier, there's no point of doing this. You are doing wrong to her." His words dripped with venom, his anger simmering just below the surface.
Arhaan's smile grew wider, his eyes taking on a psychotic glint. "This time, she chose to stay by herself,"
"Instead of gaining her trust, you played with her emotions once again." Irfaan said gritting his teeth.
"Does it matter? Not really. What matters the most is what I want. And if I want someone I'll have it by hook or crook." He smiled, his voice sending shivers down Irfaan's spine.
As Arhaan's words hung in the air, his smile grew even wider, his eyes gleaming with his sinister desire. Irfaan knew he just want to be loved but he can't agree to the way he want it but he had no other option and helped his best friend manipulate the girl who's dream was a happy life with the one she loves.
Irfaan stared at him while he slowly started to laugh, a low, menacing sound that sent chills down Irfaan's spine. He felt like he don't know the man standing infront of him. The laughter grew louder, more manic, until it seemed to fill the entire room.
Irfaan's eyes were fixed on Arhaan's face, his mind recoiling in horror. He had never seen Arhaan's laugh like that before, with such pure, unadulterated joy. It was as if Arhaan had finally found something that brought him true happiness - the knowledge that he had broken someone's spirit.
The laughter slowly died down as he turned towards other side, leaving an uncomfortable silence in its wake. Arhaan's smile still lingered on his face, a cold, calculating smile that seemed to say, "I've won, and you can't do anything about it."
