The river goddess had a son who loved one of the son of the heaven's god ....they both were in deep love but the heaven's god do not agreed to their relationship because there will be no offsprings to continue the legacy... the pair were depressed... not able to see her only son in pain the river goddess blessed the pair to be able to conceive. So in memory of the the river goddess... her son created this beautiful valley. This place is blessing with blue night lotus which helps in conceiving...
This valley is called so to respect her and her love towards her child "
"So that means..." Wei ying was about to say.
"You can conceive too ... including Jiang Cheng...so that Lan Qiren will not have any problem.. either way he have to accept my beloved nephew and my nephew's brother." Master Baoshi said.
"Wei ying...."
"Lan zhan...we can have our own kids...are you listening... our own kids " Wei ying was super happy.
"Hm.. I am happy.. but I am worried about your health and body condition... giving birth is not easy Wei ying " Lan zhan said.

Time skipped to the day of Compitition:
The Compitition was not for the leaders actually... it's basically for the new youths.... and it's all about hunting down dark being and wild invading furious beast that harm the harmony and ecosystem of the place... it's not as easy as seem as the sect disciplines put several obstacles to stop them.
This Compitition was for only one week. With proper knowledge and strength.
After that it was basically study... with most new sect leader learning new things about the valley...it's sacred stuffs and all.
So after this Wei ying and lan zhan decided to do it while Jiang Cheng was not ready yet...so lan Xichen wanted to take it slow.
Master Baoshi Wei ying and lan zhan went to the blooming river of Piaofu de Valley.
"Aunt..are we there yet" wei ying asked with excitement.
"We are here ...this is the blooming river" master Baoshi replied while gesturing them to see the view.
"Wow ..." That's the only thing that Wei ying said.
"Come..." Master Baoshi walked forward.
"WEI YING!!!" Lan zhan suddenly draw his sword to protect Wei ying.
"What... lan zhan..??..this are arrows... aunt Baoshi!!"
" Hua* it's me..." Master Baoshi spoke quickly.
(* It means flower )
"Master Baoshi?.. what brings you here?..I deeply apologize...are you hurt young masters?" A voice spoke.
"Come out" Lan zhan said.
"I..I am in the water..." The voice spoke again.
"MMMermaid??? Woahhh" Wei ying exclaimed with surprise.
There was a woman who had tail like lotus leaves ... The head was designed in such a way that you will think that those are bloomed pink lotus.
"Greeting Master Baoshi.. and young masters...my name is Hua... I am the protector of blooming river." Hua greeted them.
"This is my nephew Wei wuxian and his husband Lan Wanji." Master Baoshi said.
"It's a great news master... young masters... please have a seat " Hua said.
"Here meet my wife "Hua who was a female had a female partner.
"And master Baoshi this are my children..."
"Huh?? ...kids.. come here come here " master Baoshi was excited and happy about it and she immediately lift the kids to her arms. And went to walk... cradling them (i know they are mermaid but they have special ability to live even outside water)
"Aunt really love kids right" wei ying asked.
"Yes master Wei... master Baoshi loves children...but her wish never fullfilled" Hua was sad.
"Aunt's wish??" Lan zhan actually asked.
"She wished to build a family but unfortunately something crazy happened and scattered her already broken pieces... into dust" Hua said.
"Aunt's past...I hope she will say it herself.." Wei ying stopped her.
"I will not say anything... If master's mind will be clear then she will tell it herself" Hua said understanding the situation.
