Sunoo's Pov

I put all the books inside my backpack getting ready for tomorrow. The tomorrow that I've been waiting to come. Well most of the students are not really excited to go to school but me? I'm so extremely excited. I want to meet new friends again. Though I already had but adding another is more fun right?

My friends used to describe me as friendly and energetic type. I don't know why but I really like hanging around with people. Tomorrow is the new start of my "another" looking forward day. I laid on my bed looking at my ceiling, can't really sleep from excitement but I need to force myself to sleep or else I will wake up like a zombie.

Waking up to my alarm ringing turning it off got sat excitedly on my bed. Getting a shower, I put on my uniform fixing my necktie properly and neatly. Grabbing my backpack shoving it unto my shoulder taking steps outside my room and saw my sister making our breakfast.

She smiled at me, greeting me with a "Good morning" as she placed the plate with two sunny side up eggs on the table. "Your smile is as bright as the day," she said, seeing the excitement on my face. "Of course, I wanted to meet new people today at school. I need to look nice and approachable," I replied. We both chuckled.

Every step I took toward the campus, my heartbeat started to quicken. As I arrived in front of my new classroom, I hoped to see new faces and make new friends.

Finally, I took my first step into the room, slowly roaming my eyes around and seeing no one. "Oh? I must have been too excited; I arrived too early." I put my bag on an empty chair in the last column, middle row, to be exact, and waited for my classmates and teacher to arrive. While waiting, I took my phone out of my pocket and sent a message in our group chat.

"Tsk. What was that, Sunghoon is really so boring" I was busy chatting with the boys when someone entered the room. A girl stood there, looking around the room. Maybe she's new here. She glanced at me, but I felt a little shy at first, so I quickly turned my head toward the window.

I didn't get it. I was so excited earlier, but now that there's someone here, why am I feeling shy?She slowly took a step toward the teacher's desk, opening the white folder page by page. "How can she do it so naturally? Is she the class president? But we haven't started class yet, and I've never seen her before. Lastly, she's not wearing a uniform—just a jumper and an oversized white shirt, with her hair braided." I thought to myself, not realizing I was already staring at her.

I came to my senses when she looked at me, eye to eye, tilting her head. I gulped and tried to avoid looking at her. She closed the folder and put it back in its place. Is it because she's a girl that I'm suddenly feeling shy?

She took a step toward me, making me feel even more nervous. As I was looking out the window, she suddenly jumped in front of me, causing me to startle.

"You see me, right?" the girl asked, smiling excitedly. I was confused by her question. Of course, I could see her—why would she ask something like that? I nodded, trying not to ignore her, because I also wanted to make friends.

"It worked! Again. I'm such a genius," she said, and it made me even more confused. She noticed the confused look on my face. I used to talk a lot, but this time, I didn't even know what to say. She sat in the empty chair beside me, giving me a look that seemed to say I should introduce myself. "Ah, Sunoo. I'm Kim Sunoo."

"What?! Me too! I mean, I'm also Kim—Kim Haejin," she said excitedly. "Isn't it destiny?" Now I'm starting to see a part of myself in this girl. I feel like we're going to be really good friends. "Woah! That's nice to hear! But aren't you supposed to be wearing your uniform?" I asked her.

"The truth is, I have a secret," she said, gesturing for me to come closer. I leaned in slightly, and she whispered in my ear. "I'm not a human, but a ghost," she said, smiling at me. "Okay, nice joke. But seriously, tell me—are you a transfer student here? I'll help you," I said to her, but she just laughed. "What's so funny? I'm being serious," I added, giggling along with her.

"Well, same here. I'm also being serious." I felt my face turn into a big question mark. Like, does she really think I'll buy that joke? Come on, we're not kids anymore to believe in those tricks. But I was left speechless when she moved her hand through the table. I was seeing it with my own two eyes.

"What? Do you believe me now?" she asked, but I wasn't able to answer her right away. I was too stunned to speak. She sighed deeply. "I knew it. You people don't want to be friends with me. A ghost like me," she said, looking so down.

"Girl, stop it! Are you insane? being a friend with ghost??"

I knew it. I shouldn't have forced myself to be friends with humans. Sunoo is right—I'm really insane for even thinking about it. A ghost and a human? Yah, I should just get rid of these high hopes I had. "Yah! That's cool!"

There's so many thoughts running through my mind. And in my shock, Sunoo didn't reject me. I was so happy to hear him say our friendship would be cool. "But you might wonder later why others can't see me, because I choose who can see me."
"Ohh, that's amazing!" he respond.

He was about to ask me another thing when the other students suddenly came into the room. "Well, see ya around, Sunoo." I waved at him and took a step out of the room.
