SPENCER'S POV

My head is pounding and my body aches as I try to move but the seatbelt is stuck, I slowly open my eyes they adjust to the light slowly. I groan in pain as I try my best to unplug the seatbelt and it finally lets go of me. The pressure finally releases and I can feel the broken glass around me and on my lap.

"Are you okay?" I groan out

I move my head slowly making sure I have no spinal injuries. My car is smashed up and once my head stops spinning and my eyes come into focus again I see Ava next to me not moving

"Ava?"
Her head is bleeding down the side of her face and the car that hit us in the intersection hit her side first. Dammit why couldn't they hit my side.

"Ava"
I make my voice as loud as I can and I still get no reply when I shake her shoulder. I quickly check for her pulse as I talk to her
"Ava, baby, you've got to wake up"
It's weak but it's there. She's not waking up, I scramble to find my phone in my suit pocket, the screen is smashed but luckily it still works.

"Derek?"

"Hey kid, look I'm so sor-"

"No never mind about that, someone hit our car and Ava she's... she's not waking up. Derek please help me. We are a block away from our house"

I almost break down on the phone to him as I remember our last conversation, I was yelling at her. How could I do that

"Don't worry kid we are on our way, keep her still and talk to her Reid"

He hangs up and I know I don't have to wait long it's only a 15 minute normal drive from the bureau and they are coming with lights and sirens, they will be here in minutes for her.

I try my hardest to wake her up but she's not waking up. The guy that hit us has came over to apologise, I can smell the alcohol from here, I cuffed him to the lamppost and got back in the car to sit with her, I put my hands on her stomach and I can feel some light kicks from them but they are usually so much stronger.

Oh god what have I done, why won't she wake up. That cannot be the last time we speak, she did nothing wrong and I yelled at her. God please help me

I hear sirens coming, hope finally washed over me and I've only just realised the blood from my nose and the sudden pain in my ribs is overwhelming but I will never let go of her hand.

"Spencer call out!"
Derek shouted as I heard doors slam
"I'm fine! Help her please!"

The emergency services come to assess the car and how to get her out, the officer tries to pull me out the car but I'm not leaving her. They put a blanket over to Shield her from any more glass and I feel someone's hands on me dragging me backwards out the smashed car

I look back and it's Derek and Rossi
"Please I have to be with her"
I cry out, I watch them cut the remains of car apart to free her
"Kid calm down let them check you out, Hotch is with her"
The medics check me over and I'm fine apart from some glass in my cuts and they think I have some broken ribs but all that information goes out the window when I se where come out onto a back board and into the other ambulance

"Go, we will meet you two at the hospital"
Rossi tells me to go and I run to her side and the put her in the back and i climb in with her, before they close the doors I hear Hotch yelling
"I want an escort all the way too the hospital, blue lights all the way. Go go go"

We head off to the hospital quickly and I watch as her eyes flutter open and she looks around frantically before finding me
"Hey hey it's okay, your okay"
I hold her hand to my chest as the medic is looking at her heart rate and oxygen levels
