I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. I am tired. I want to give birth right now. Ever since this pregnancy started, it's been a weird journey. It's been feeling sick to having back pain to now being 10 times more tired than I was at the start.

I pulled up to work and was regretting my choice this morning.

Today, I have a court case of a mother filing her ex-husband for not giving enough child support. Weird.

I sat my desk and drank some water, hoping this day would just move on fast. Why do Fridays take so long?

The phone rang on my desk, and the court case is going to start soon. What if I just quit and never turn up again.

The case is going okay, and it's definitely not going to take two cour sessions. The mother is super difficult. Before I thought of it more, I took my shoes off and smelt the air and smelt my favourite food. Stir fry.

"Hey baby!" I greeted Chase with a hug immediately.

"Hey, my love." He kissed me on the cheek.

We both sat at the table and had a conversation about our day and turned out his work wasn't much good either.

I grabbed the dishes and washed up, but before I could finish, Chase stopped me and took over.

We both finished our night off with some nextflix and went to bed.

AN- I am so sorry for the late update, and I promise it's a good excuse here, but school has been super overwhelming right now because my mocks are near, and I haven't had a decent break so far but I hope you guys are enjoying the book so far and understand me here for the late updates. 🩷🫶 also my wattpad was going crazy so I logged out and back in and it completely deleted the chapter??
