(moral of the shot: no one knows about 3 and 4s secret relationship. The crew are all in the castle playing Mario kart apart from the 2 meme guardians.)
Meggy: hey have any of you guys seen Three or Four?
Tari: no, 3 loves Mario kart because he always wins and the coffee shop is closed so it's strange that he's not here.
Mario: well maybe they are poorly and are at the doctors together?
Saiko: mmm yeah totally. They hate each other. 3s probably gone to the club with Bob, and 4 is probably in his office asleep in his chair.
Meggy: come on Mario let's go have a look for them.
Mario and Meggy passed their controllers to Luigi and Boopkins and headed to the kitchen. Meggy filled up a glass of water with a blue straw and Mario grabbed some paracetamol. The ginger girl held the glass carefully and walked cautiously with every step. When they had arrived outside of smg4s office, she knocked on the door gently and waited. They got no response, they both looked at each other skeptically and decided to knock on again. Nothing. The red Italian crouched down to look through the key hole.
3 was sat on the edge of the bed and 4 was sat sideways on his lap. The blue meme guardian had both arms wrapped round 3s neck and he rested his head on the purple meme guardians shoulder. 3 had both arms around 4s waist.
smg4: babe? you know one day, do you think we can go to the beach and watch the sunset?
smg3: of course my love, why not tonight?
smg4: yay!
they held each other tighter and let out small giggles. Mario opened the door with Meggy behind him, both with shocked expressions on their faces. Smg4 quickly jumped off of 3s lap and ran to his chair. He pressed the on button on his computer. 3 scrambled a blanket over him and pretended to be asleep.
smg4: hey guys, uhhh what you guys up to?
he put on a forced smile and cold sweat dripped down his forehead.
Mario: playing Mario kart with everyone else... what have you been doing?
smg4: oh uhh you know, just doing my memes!
Meggy looked at him with a cocked eyebrow, then looked at 3, then back to 4. Smg4 gestured towards Meggy to shut the door and they all sat on the bed. 3 sat up and shuffled towards 4, the blue guardian rested his head on his shoulder and they held hands.
Mario: sooooo was I right? Are you two gay for each other?! Are you dating?! WAHOOOOOOO!!!!
smg3: shhh, don't tell the others.
smg4: please?
Meggy: don't worry we won't say anything.... on one condition
smg4: and that is?
Mario: YOU HAVE TO TELL US HOW YOU TWO GOT TOGETHER! WAS IT THE IGLOO?!?!?
the meme guardians looked at each other. The mouths partially ajar and their eyes widened in realization, the flashbacks becoming more vivid.
Meggy: shut up Mario!! but seriously, when did you two get together
she crossed her legs and put her elbows on her knees, her hands holding her chin.
Meggy: oh come on! we're both dying to know!
smg4: well Mario was there at-
Mario: SO IT WAS THE IGLOO!
smg3: no Mario. It wasn't. Remember WOTFI 2023?
Mario: yeah! Me and Marty kicked your ass's!
smg4: well you didn't... Anyway, after we beat you and that cardboard cut out, we had a coffee together. 3 began to draw a picture of us in his notebook which was so adorable by the way!
4 placed both hands on 3s cheeks and kissed his lips quickly. Both blushing furiously.
smg3: but then the wind picked up and it blew my pages. It landed on a page that I was not expecting anyone to see.
Mario: ooooooo what was it?!?
Meggy: we are dying to know!
smg4: he'd wrote a full essay on how much he loved me, one big cringey gay love confession.
smg3: and then, 4 put his hand on mine and told me that he felt the same way.
Mario and Meggy squealed and tried to contain their excitement.
Meggy: ahhhh you lovebirds! Your relationship is so cute!
Mario: SO GAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!
smg4: but please don't tell anyone.
Meggy: don't worry guys! we won't!
smg3: thanks
Meggy and Mario waved goodbye with huge smiles on their faces and opened the door to see the whole crew with their ears to the door and some looking through the key hole. They were caught eavesdropping and spying on the 4 of them. The 2 meme guardians looked at each other, still holding hands.
smg3 and smg4: oh fuck.
