Male Reader X That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime

Do you know how it feels to have Jello sitting on the top of your head for countless hours? No? Well, Y/N's had more than enough time to get acquainted with the foreign sensation as he continued on through the massive cave. At some point, the pair came across a large metal door blocking their way. "I really don't see what this was going to do keep from getting Veldora out..." Y/N comments upon noticing the rustiness of the door.

"Pretty sure it was to keep everyone else out, Y/N..." Rimuru corrects.

Oh...with all the time they had spent in trying to find the exit, Rimuru learned how to speak through her slime body. It was quite relieving to be able to speak again, even though their communication through the mental link worked just as well. "Not that it matters. Destroying it should be a problem in the future, right? If it's rusted like this, it probably hasn't been checked up on since Veldora's sealing."

"Agreed." Y/N the cracks his knuckles as he approaches the door, planning to demolish it in one punch.

-CREAK-

The metal door starts to open, startling Y/N and Rimuru as he instantly jumps to the ceiling of the cave, sticking his sharp claws into to hold himself and Rimuru up. They watch silently as three people who look to be in their early 20's walk out. "Phew~finally got it open. Damn keyhole was rusted though." One of the males with short brown hair and a more aged face than the other two said.

"What do you expect? Hasn't had any maintenance for 300 years." The second male with shoulder length brown hair commented, a sword strapped to his back.

'Guess Veldora disappearing was more noticeable than we thought. It hasn't been that long since you ate him, right?' Y/N communicated to Rimuru mentally.

'Pretty sure it was only a few hours ago...give or take.' Rimuru answered, not entirely confident on her perception of time.

The female of the group, a petite woman with blond hair who held a long wand in hand, then complained, "The guildmaster sure is working us hard, expecting us to investigate this old, sealed cave."

'This guildmaster acts pretty quick. Though...it's reasonable considering such a strong hero was needed to deal with him...' 

'If possible, I would've liked to talk with them but...' Both Rimuru and Y/N imagined quite literally the only possible reaction to two monsters like them making contact out of nowhere.

"You two should stick closer to me. That way I can use my concealing arts on us." The female urges, with the two men doing so and soon becoming invisible to naked eyes and walking further into the cave.

Once Y/N's believed they were too far to notice them due to his sensitive hearing, he allowed himself and Rimuru to drop to the ground. "If they'd just looked up, that would've been a problem." Y/N sighed.

"Well, they didn't so let's just chop it up to good luck and keep going, kay'!" Rimuru suggested, making small hops on top of Y/N's head to get him to move. 

"Yeah, yeah..."

Timeskip

As they made their way out the cave, sunlight hit them, letting them take in the beautiful sight of the forest before them. It was a refreshing sight for both after getting very much acquainted with endless darkness and many, many rocks. 

"So...what exactly are we doing?" Y/N asks Rimuru, who chose to slide on the ground beside him, surprisingly, as they dove deeper into the forest.

"Can't say for sure. I mean...our main priority should be unsealing Veldora. Either you grow strong enough to do so or my skill finishes analyzing the seal. Whichever comes first, really."  Rimuru says as she starts to swing from the branches of each tree with one of the skills she acquired after devouring the monsters littered through the cave.
