This was our bedroom, a cozy space cluttered with mismatched furniture and scattered belongings. I found myself sharing this intimate room with Ron and Harry while Grover was preoccupied, his eyes roaming curiously over every piece of furniture, likely imagining what he could nibble on. My mind, however, was a whirlwind of thoughts about YN Riddle, and the more I pondered, the more it drove me to distraction.

Desperate to shift my focus, I approached Harry, fully aware that he might be in the mood to annoy me. "Hey! Do you know anything about YN Riddle?" I asked, trying to mask the urgency in my voice. Ron's face lit up at the mention of her name, his cheeks flushing a deep crimson that made my jaw tense with irritation.

"We met her last year!" Ron exclaimed, his enthusiasm palpable. "She was just visiting, but she was so incredibly nice to us! I found that a bit strange, though. She helped keep Malfoy away most of the time... but when she discovered that her father was the Dark Lord, she freaked out and ended up moving in with us Weasleys."

I took a breath, trying to quell the flicker of jealousy that ignited within me

I took a breath, trying to quell the flicker of jealousy that ignited within me. I didn't even know this girl—so why was I feeling this way? It was as if Ron had made it his mission to fall for the girl who now lived under their roof.

""Do you happen to know why she came here?" Grover inquired, his voice slightly muffled as he spoke around the leg of a chair he was chewing on. Harry responded, "She mentioned that she ran away from home because she couldn't stand living with her uncle any longer. He treated her like a monster. But then she said she woke up here." A swirl of thoughts began to cloud my mind; could she be a demigod? If so, which god would she be linked to? Grover, seemingly attuned to my inner turmoil, chimed in, "She didn't have that aura, Percy."

Sighing with a sense of exhaustion, I realized I needed some sleep. I climbed into my bed, unpacking only a few items. I kept it minimal, just in case I ended up being kicked out. This hasty action prompted Ron to shoot me a questioning look, his brows furrowed in concern.
"I have a record of getting kicked out of schools; it would be..." I paused, counting on my fingers, but then stopped abruptly. "I lost count," I chuckled, a mix of humor and resignation in my voice. He raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What's it like?" he asked, a hint of curiosity in his tone.

"What?" I shot back, caught off guard.

"Being a demigod?" he clarified, his eyes wide with interest.

I couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Let's just say," I replied, settling back into the plush comfort of the bed, my body sinking into the softness, "I wish I were just a normal kid."

"The thought of not being pursued by terrifying monsters filled me with a sense of relief. I longed for the simplicity of a normal childhood, where I could immerse myself in stories and read English fluently without any shadows lurking in the corners of my mind. I spoke softly, closing my eyes, and said, "I understand." Harry replied, "I get that feeling," his voice bringing a chuckle to my lips. What could he possibly know about monsters? Yet, I brushed the thought aside, my mind preoccupied with the unsettling dreams that awaited me as I drifted off to sleep.
