Fall Festival at Green Bluff

This was one of my favourite days.  A real down to earth American event, no tourists, except me and maybe one other, who was from Ohio, so she really didn't count, hahaha.  Farmers  open their farms to the public and set up rides, food and alcohol stalls, a band, jumping castles, and let you ride in a tractor trailer into the orchard to pick apples and pumpkins and whatever else they grow.  The different varieties of pumpkins blew my mind, the craziest thing for me was you Americans rarely eat these pumpkins, but instead use them as Fall decorations. I had the best time, tried lavender cider, which went straight to my head, I ate an elk burger and pumpkin donuts, yummo.  Coming from tropical Australia I have never picked an apple from a tree and eaten it.  Now I can say I have. xo
