Prologue

Gardenview was an educational center that housed creatures called 'toons'.

This, everyone knows.

Gardenview was shut down a few years ago due to safety concerns.

This, everyone also knows.

But what most don't know, is that Gardenview, the building, is also alive.

Gardenview was content once upon a time.

There were humans who wished to create, and it liked their concepts of creation, so it aided them in bringing their fantasies to life.

Among everything it had created, was its beloved flower, the star of the show.

It loved him so, thus it made everything go his way.

If he wanted cake and icecream for breakfast, all it had to do was lightly influence that loving baker duo.

His wish is its command.

Gardenview was content, even after it had been publicly shut down.

It still had its beloved flower and his friends.

And while it showed clear favoritism to its flower, that isn't to say that it didn't care about the others.

It did care, very, very much.

But, the love it showed its flower had made him.. greedy, so to say.

He kept asking, no, demanding more every day.

And who was it to say no?

It loved him.

It complied with each demand, and it wept as he used its blood to corrupt the bodies of its beloved creations.

Their numbers dwindled untill only itself and its beloved flower remained.

But at that point, it had had enough.

It loved its flower, it did, it truly did, but he had become power hungry.

And there was no reversing that.

...

So, it convinced him to come to one of the lower levels.

It had promised a glorious prize if he entered where the monsters he created lay.

And as he decended, Gardenview wept.

It now had all that was living in one place.

With only a second of hesitation, it flooded the lower floors with cement.

Instantly killing its beloved flower and what was left of his friends.

Once all was said and done, it cleared the lower floors of cement, returning everything as it was.

Except for one crucial thing.

Gardenview no longer had any inhabitants, they were all dead now.

It vowed to have its lovely cast of colorful characters return to it.

It wanted its flower back.

And this time, it would make sure he stayed soft and lovely, and would never become a power hungry monster again.
