10.47 pm, laSerine Hotel, Seoul, South Korea
In the vibrant pulse of the city, where skyscrapers loomed like sentinels over a neon-lit horizon, the laSerine Hotel stood stark against the skyline. Underneath its luxurious facade and plush halls, dark secrets danced in the shadows. The dimly lit corridors echoed with the hurried footsteps of staff, unaware of the shadows unfurling within its walls.
At a corner table, Jeon Wonwoo sat with a disarming smile, his charming demeanor drawing glances from passing guests. He stashed a few papers in his pocket, their contents harmless to the untrained eye but deadly beneath the surface. As a seducer, he was a master at playing his role; the skirt-chasing Casanova who wandered through life without a care.
As Wonwoo's eyes scanned the lobby, he spotted her entering the hotel—a gust of fresh air under the cloud of impending doom. Dressed in a fitted blazer that accentuated her determination, Jin Seolyun looked every inch the professional. But it was the subtle confidence in her stride and the fire in her gaze that set her apart. If only they knew they were not yet at a disadvantage.
"Mingyu, do you have eyes on the target?" asked Joshua quietly through the hidden earpiece.
Kim Mingyu lurked in the shadows, his sniper rifle carefully cradled in his arms, a far cry from the playful demeanor he often showed. His mission was to keep watch, ready to strike if necessary. Adrenaline coursed through him, and he focused on the delicate balance of the plan—every second counting, every breath building the tension in the air.
"Copy that. She's right by the elevator," Mingyu responded, steadying his breath as he adjusted his position to get a clearer view. The faint clicking of the crosshairs aimed at her shoe became the rhythm of his heart.
"Excuse me, Miss?" Wonwoo's voice cut through the hum of the lobby, drawing Seolyun's attention. "Are you lost? I could help you find your way."
She paused, meeting his gaze, unfazed yet cautious. There was something magnetic about him, a dangerous allure that made her instincts scream. But she had faced danger before; perhaps too much of it had dulled her senses. "No, thank you. I'm just here for a meeting," she replied, keeping her tone businesslike.
A loud bang reverberated through the hotel's interior, an explosion of chaos that sent guests and staff alike into panic. In the lobby, Wonwoo took advantage of the chaos, slipping away as Seolyun instinctively searched for an exit. He struck while her defenses were momentarily lowered—the perfect time to close in. "Follow me!" he shouted, weaving through the throng of frightened hotel occupants.
"Why would you help me?" she inquired suspiciously, her back against the wall, her senses alert.
"Because I can't just stand by and watch you get caught in the crossfire. There's someone targeting you, and trust me, they won't hesitate." His tone shifted, sincerity creeping in as he took a small step forward. "We need to get out of here."
As if in response to her doubt, gunfire erupted, echoing through the empty corridor. Seolyun's instincts kicked in, and she pushed Wonwoo aside just as bullets ricocheted off the wall behind them.
Mingyu observed from his rooftop position, pulse racing as chaos erupted below. The plan was slipping. "I need backup," he murmured into his comms, adjusting his sights once more. He had to secure the target, to backtrack and execute the plan despite the unexpected variables at play. "Remember, we need her alive, but those security guards don't play nice."
Seolyun dragged Wonwoo towards a corridor as the chaos continued in the hallways. She need to deal with him for 5 minutes until they find her.
Before he could regain control of the situation, Seolyun lunged at him. Years of covert training surged forth as she caught him off guard, her fist connecting with his jaw. The power of her blow sent him reeling, and chaos erupted around them. Wonwoo, recovering from the surprise, found himself battling against the unexpected fierceness of a woman he had underestimated. She didn't just look like a mystery; she was a warrior in her own right. They exchanged blows, each strike met with agility, the stakes intensifying with every shift.
"You're not going to take me easily," Seolyun said between breaths, a fire igniting in her eyes. She could feel the familiar rhythm of a fight coaxing her into focus—a dance of combat and strategy she had mastered throughout her unsung life.
As the combat continued, Hoshi and Joshua found their way to the corridor, where they quickly took in the scene. "We've got to intervene!" Hoshi whispered, but Joshua held him back. "No, wait. Let's see how this unfolds."
She smirked, an unusual gust of confidence swirling within her. "It seems you've underestimated me, Wonwoo. But I know a trap when I see one."
A loud crash interrupted the tension as a figure clad in dark attire burst into the lobby, their face hidden beneath a mask. Without thinking, he joined the fight, slipping seamlessly into the rhythm of the chaos, his body a weapon honed by years of training. With each punch thrown and each defensive maneuver, he felt empowered; he was no longer just a target but a force to be reckoned with. As the last member of Seventeen was dispatched, silence descended once more, pierced only by the heavy breathing of the injured men.
Seolyun walked to the front and eyed SVT as they pointed the gun towards her. The mystery assassin positioned himself into the fighting position.
"Enough"
They all lowered their weapons as few guards came into the lobby and surrounded all across the hall. A female figure walked into the hall as her heel clacked. Her raven black hair swayed as she walked wearing a three piece maroon suit with a black long coat over it.
"One...two...three........seven....only seven? i thought SVT has 13 members.."
Han Chaerin walked as she talked while looking at Mingyu, Hoshi, Joshua, Wonwoo, Vernon, Seungkwan and Woozi.
The mystery assassin bowed her and his went away. Jin Seolyun rolled her eyes at Chaerin's dramatic approach.
"Fun how our path crossed again and again......knowing how our purpose are all different..." Chaerin said looking at all of them but her eyes glued to Wonwoo as she says,"...or maybe S.coups wants to wipe me again."
Seolyun interrupted the tense moment "We should get going as i'm safe now."
"Make sure to check who's protection they got before kidnapping or you might cross your safe zone." Chaerin said as she went away.
Seolyun stared at SVT as she turned to leave.
"Retreat!"
