I approached Gun as the sound of footsteps faded into the distance. The courtyard was silent now, save for the soft rustling of the wind through the trees.

Gun's training session had ended, and everyone had dispersed, leaving only the two of us standing in the stillness.

Gun was just as he always was still, his gaze distant, like a statue frozen in time. His eyes were fixed ahead, seemingly unaware of everything around him, lost in whatever world existed in his mind.

"Gun-nii," I called softly, my voice breaking the silence. Everyone calls him Young Master because he is the possible future head of the clan but..He is my cousin so I don't want to make things too formal with him.. atleast I would like to get recognition as his sister..which can increase my stand in Yamazaki more..

He didn't respond immediately. His eyes didn't even flicker in my direction. It was as though my words hadn't even reached his ears. I knew that Gun didn't always pay attention to the world around him, especially when it came to people.

His emotions, or lack of them, were something I couldn't quite understand. But in the moments I had spent observing him, I couldn't help but wonder what was going on behind those dark eyes.

"Gun-nii?" I repeated, a little louder this time.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he turned his head toward me. His expression was as neutral as ever, but there was something faint-just a flicker-of recognition in his gaze. It was almost like I had startled him out of a trance.

"You are done for today?," I asked, trying to keep my tone casual.

The truth was, I didn't really know why I was talking to him. Maybe I just needed someone to fill the silence.

"We still have some time before my training starts, and I thought maybe we could talk."

Gun just stared at me for a moment.

There was no warmth in his gaze, but there was no coldness eithr, just a kind of emptiness, like I was talking to a person who wasn't quite here. His eyes were distant, like time itself didn't matter. It made me wonder if he even cared about conversation.

"Why?" His voice was low and flat, the simplicity of the question almost surprising. It was a valid question, though...

Why did I want to talk to him?

I didn't have an answer. It wasn't like I had a plan or a reason. But something about the quiet barrier that always seemed to hang between us made me want to break it. Just a little.

"I don't know," I admitted, a small smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "Maybe because you're the only one here."

Gun didn't answer right away, but then his eyes narrowed slightly. He tilted his head, as if assessing me in some strange, detached way. Then, with a dry smirk that barely tugged at the corner of his lips, he spoke.

"You're not scared today?"

I blinked, caught off guard. "What?"

"You're not running off yelling 'Ghost!!, Ghost!!' like last time?" His voice was flat, but there was a teasing edge to it, and that caught me completely off guard.

At that moment, I felt my face flush red. I tried to hide my reaction, looking away quickly. Of course, he would remember that night. The one night I'd been completely and utterly terrified.

I cleared my throat awkwardly. "You-" I started, but couldn't bring myself to continue. "That was... nothing."

He didn't buy it. "Right," he said, voice dry. "Nothing at all. You sure looked like you saw something that night."

And just like that, the floodgates opened, and the memory of that night came rushing back.

It was a dark, quiet night, and the lights across the clan were shut off for some unknown reason. I was lying in my room, trying to sleep, but a strange feeling of unease settled over me. Something wasn't right.

I hated being alone in the dark. But of course, I'd never admit that to anyone.

I slipped out of bed and walked into the hallway, trying to convince myself that it was just the silence that felt off, not the darkness itself. But with every step, I felt my heart beat a little faster. The whole place was unnervingly still.

Then I saw it. A shadow. A black shadow, standing motionless in the corner of the hallway. The eerie glow of white pupils stared back at me.

I froze. My breath caught in my throat. The shadow didn't move, didn't make a sound. But in that moment, all I could think was: ghost.

"G-Ghoossttttttttt!!!!"

I yelped in horror and didn't waste another second. I turned and bolted for Haruto's room. I was yelling "ghost, ghost" as I ran, though I had no idea what I was even talking about.
I had no proof of a ghost-just the terrifying shadow that had made my skin crawl.

I threw myself under Haruto's blanket as he stared at me, bewildered.

"Kei, what are you-" he began, but I was too panicked to hear him.

"G-Ghost! There is a ghost!" I repeated, clutching the blanket tighter.

Haruto just stared at me in confusion, clearly unsure of how to react. "What ghost? There's no ghost," he said, awkwardly patting my back as I trembled. Afterwards, when I described what I saw..he told me that might young master Gun.

I was so embarrassed that I could barely look at Gun. I rubbed the back of my neck, trying to deflect his gaze. "It was just... a weird night," I muttered.

Gun's lips twitched, though he still maintained his usual detached expression. "Sure, a weird night," he said, as if mocking me ever so slightly.

I wanted to crawl into a hole and never come out. "It's not funny, Gun-nii," I mumbled, trying to ignore the way my face was probably as red as a tomato.

But he didn't say anything more. He just turned away, as though the whole conversation was over. And maybe it was. But I couldn't shake the feeling that Gun knew exactly how ridiculous I felt, and that made it all the worse.

With that he disappeared from my vision and my training teacher came in,"Sorry for the late"

"No problem.." I said I looked over my teacher, he is in his late 30s..he is a nice man..And a single father..dealing with his 2 year old and even his work is already tough for him so it's understandable..

He smiled, "shall we began?"

"Yep.. Let's began"
