As Rose ran through the woods, she felt more free than she ever had. She was never allowed to do this because it was unsuitable for a princess. Now that she was alone, Rose had no worries... Or so she thought.
As she frolicked, it got darker. The wind picked up out of nowhere. A deafening roar erupted, which made the princess freeze in place. A giant shadow flew over her.
Rose looked up and saw the light purple belly of the beast soar above her, and that's when she realized it was a dragon. She'd heard stories about them, but she'd never expected them to actually be real. 'That's enough free time for today,' she thought before she bolted out of the forest.

"You shouldn't have run away," Tanner said to Rose later that evening. He was folding his clothes. Rose was on her bed crying. The king punished her harshly for running away and ruining her dress. "Maybe you shouldn't take after May."
"Shut the fuck up!" Rose shouted. Tanner's eyes widened in shock. "Just shut up! You act like you're the perfect child! Well, newsflash, dumbass: you're not! You're just as bad as May and me!"
"I know that's not true," Tanner scoffed. "I listen to father's rules."
"Not all the time."
"I at least try to be a good prince."
"Fuck you."
