It was getting late and my cheating husband wasn’t back yet. He was probably with his side chick whom i was planning to deal with accordingly - no one messes with my man and gets away with it.

I sat at the lounge with my laptop on my lap while looking at her documents.

I thought it would be a good idea to get her married with someone she doesn't know or sell her information on the black market - but something in me was against it. Was i willing to ruin someones life because of a man who couldn't zip his pants? I just packed everything and put it in my safe then made something quick to eat.

It was hard swallowing the food because it felt like i was trying to digest everything that my husband had been doing to me behind my back.

Knock on the door.

I just shouted, "Come in!" I had no strength to open the door.

Danisile and Basetsana walked in.

"My favorite person in the world!" Basetsana said giving me a hug.

It had been a while since we last saw each other. She had to leave and join the army because she felt like being a private investigator would put her life and her family's lives at risk - one tough decision she had to make. Leaving something you really love and passionate about.

They joined me and i offered them something to eat but they came prepared with a bucket full of scones and muffins, and of course, a bottle of whiskey and wine.

"So, where is the man of the house? Its all quiet today." - Basetsana.

"He's with Stephen... i hope." I faked a smile.

"Friend, just file for a divorce and leave him. You deserve better, you and your son." - Basetsana.

It was easy for her to say because she was single and hardly had a long lasting relationship. So nope, her advice didn't count.

"I won't leave him because i love him. I will stay until i learn how to unlove him, after all, we have been married for 12 years and i can't just leave that. I mean, I've also done some mistakes in the past..."

We all laughed, as we thought about what i did.

Well, i was away because of work - for a year and one night Danisile decided to invite me to this other weird club, like a strip club. I found myself a ben 10 and we pushed our thing for like 3 months or 4, but we had to 'break' up because his mother found out. But in my defense, it was nothing serious and i never ignored my husband or treated him badly because there was someone new.

"I understand you. But don't pressurize yourself, I'm sure you guys will work things out. So, what have you done so far? Knowing how crazy you are, you already did something." - Danisile.

I told them about the bag and ID copy - their jaws dropped.

Well, it was the least i could do to let him know that i know. Just a warm up before the real game began.

An hour later, the devil walked in with Okuhle, Stephen and his son Sol. We exchanged greetings and all sat at the lounge while watching the television - then Msimelelo decided to order in some pizzas, burgers, and ice-cream for everyone.

I just loved the energy that was there, a positive energy for a change.

The kids went to Okuhle's room to play as we remained at the lounge. The atmosphere was really good but the more i looked at my husband, my heart burned and i felt like grabbing him and beating him up for betraying me.

"How about we go to Zimbali to celebrate your anniversary? Its in 2 days or have you guys forgot?" - Stephen.

"How can we forget our special day?" - Msimelelo.

He then gave me a kiss, i felt like pushing him but kept my cool - i would never disrespect him in front of people, especially our close friends.

We then agreed that we would go to Zimbali to celebrate our anniversary with our friends and family, nothing hectic - just family and friends who knew nothing about my husbands affair.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

Msimelelo went to get the door, then showed up with two police officers. The room went silent.

"What's going on?" Danisile asked.

"We are here for Mrs. Sobukwe." One of the officers said looking at the paper he had on his hand.

I stood up and moved next to my husband.

"That's me..." i finally said.

"Mrs. Sobukwe, you are under arrest for unlawful entry, theft, trespassing, and vandalism. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to you. Please turn around and place your hands behind your back."

I laughed in disbelief.

I knew what i did but i never thought it would ever reach that point. So, the young woman thought it would be best to send me to prison so that she could have my husband all to herself? I looked at my husband and he couldn't even look at me, Danisile was shocked but at least she knew the truth and a part of me was happy that she wasn't caught up in my mess.

"Just do it Inno. We'll follow you to the police station, by the way I'm her attorney." Stephen said, sounding so pissed.

He took his car keys and walked outside. Did he know about the affair?

"We'll stay behind to look after the kids." Basetsana said, holding back her tears.

I just did what the officer asked me to do. I felt like my world was coming to an end, and what pissed me off the most was the fact that i couldn't say anything at that moment. I just looked at my husband as they were handcuffing me and walked out like a criminal.

"You better fix this." I mouthed to him as i got in the van.
