Damon stepped into the Grill, his eyes searching for Bonnie amidst the bustling patrons.

It has been an aggravating amount of effort to even get her to agree to come meet with him. After all, his lover was the one keeping her father bound and was actively searching for just one reason for them to step out of line in order to kill them or show them one of her brutal lessons. But with a little of his charm and coercion, he was able to talk Bonnie into coming for a private meeting.

His Bon-Bon couldn't refuse him that.

He still had his reservations about asking Bonnie for any favors, though, as he knew how opinionated she could be.

He spotted her easily enough, seated alone at a both by herself. He took a deep breath before making his way through the bar to her.

"Hey, Bon-Bon," he used his signature charm and swagger as he seated himself across from her.

"Damon." Bonnie stiffened slightly. Her green eyes moved as if expecting to find the female Mikaelson anywhere around him.

When she didn't find any sight of Natalia, she relaxed but looked at him with a small frown. "I see Natalia's let you off your leash," she said, tone a bit scorned.

He raised an eyebrow, looking almost insulted. "I'm not a damn dog," he said, leaning against the booth casually. "And no witty comebacks. I'm here to discuss something. Something that could benefit you."

"Whatever it is, I'm sure it's Natalia's doing." Bonnie leaned back too, hugging herself. She studied him with disbelief and judgement written all over her, something he was used to. "You know how dangerous she is. You saw yourself what she did to Jeremy, the hex she used on hm. How can you even stand to be around her - let alone sleeping in the same bed as her?" she scolded.

"Oh, so now you're concerned about how I sleep now?" he retorted. "I can assure you, that bed is very comfy."

That earned him one of her infamous eye-rolls.

He smirked at his friend, knowing he had gotten under her skin.

"But that's not why I'm here," he said, sliding instead to take a seat beside her in the booth. He leaned on the table with an elbow, turning to face her, his expression more serious. "I'm here because I need you to do something for me."

Bonnie scowled slightly, a silent question.

"I need you to help out Natalia," he said quietly.

The way her face immediately shifted would have been comical any other time or day.

"You've gotta be fucking kidding me," she growled, voice quiet too as she looked around. As if the patrons in the bar could hear.

He expected this reaction, and he couldn't blame her. After everything Natalia had done to them, it was a stretch to expect Bonnie to willingly want to help out.
