Folks, NaNoWrimo has taken its toll on me mentally and I have decided to concede that this challenge is not possible for me right now. The reason I'm conceding is because I find myself to be easily distracted but also easily discouraged by people around me. What does this mean for the mighty raiders? I'm glad you asked because I will continue the story but in a slower manner more suitable for my style. This was a fun time but I simply can't write 50,000+ words in a month at this time. NaNoWrimo is a phenomenal challenge for those writers who like to flex but I'm not one to do that so for those reasons I'm out!
I'll probably take a bit of a break from The Mighty Raiders as this mental health thing is at the forefront of my mind. This has nothing to do with Colgate Raiders: The Season 8 however as the IRL Raiders are therapeutic to me which is why this Wattpad account is still running strong. Wattpad remains the best thing I've ever done and Colgate hockey is a blessing that must be protected. Now, I've been coping with mental health issues for a long while now but I feel like it's interfering with my writing so that's why I concede the challenge!
Honestly, I praise the lord for my mental illnesses because as they say "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". Writing is my favorite thing in the world and I hope I can conquer this miserable fate in due time. Is Mighty Raiders being deleted? Absolutely not but I'm going to take my time with it to make sure it's a good, quality story for you all. My name is ZakCity, go Raiders and we'll see you in the next part of this story!
