When David was invited to yet another Kamila Al-Jamil event, no surprise there, this time he decided to bring his 13 adopted son, or as people call him David's adopted brother if you're counting the age gap. Jacob had light skin, blond hair with brown tips (Jacob thought it was cool, but he ended up getting bullied at school) and brown eyes. Jacob clung to David, staring at the disco lights and the crowd.

David placed a hand on his shoulder, "go, have fun, don't make me regret bringing you here," David said, Jacob looked at him, he smirked, and he ran away, disappearing into the crowd.

David got out his notebook and pen, ready to take notes for his story, but he felt a tap on his shoulder, he turned around, expecting a guest or one of his friends, but no one was there, David felt a shiver go down his spine, suddenly he noticed the giant statue of Kamila falling down on one of the guest, his eyes widened and he jumped into action.

"WATCH OUT!" he screamed, tackling the guest to the ground, away from where the statue crashed, the statue breaking into millions of pieces.

David pushed himself off the guest, "ARE YOU CRAZY-" he yelled but he cut himself off as he stared at her,

"TAHANI?!"

Tahani stared back at him in disbelief, she wore a maid dress (which David now thinks that it wasn't her choice) and she was flustered, probably from too many drinks, "y-you saved me," she stammered.

"YOU ALMOST GOT KILLED!" David exclaimed, his voice filled with concerned, "are you okay?" he asked, searching her face for injuries,

Tahani nodded slowly, "y-yeah, I'm fine," she said, her words slightly slurred.

"You shouldn't have done that, dear sister, you were just jealous," Kamila said nearby with a scoff,

Tahani and David gave her a glare in union, with a sigh, David stood up and offering his hand to Tahani, "come on, I'll give you a ride home" he said,

Tahani, who still seemed shaken by the near-death experience, looked up at him, "really?" Tahani said,

David nodded, "really" he said,

"WE JUST GOT HERE!" yelled a voice, David and Tahani turned to Jacob,

David rolled his eyes and turned back to Tahani who took his hand and slowly got up to her feet, "who's he?" Tahani asked, gesturing to Jacob,

"he's my adopted son," David said,

"Adopted brother. Age gap," Jacob corrected, hands on hips with pride,

"Adopted brother?" Tahani repeated,

"Yes, adopted brother, now, wanna get out of here? my car is just outside," David said to Tahani, ushering her gently toward the door.

Tahani hesitated, a mix of confusion and curiosity flickering in her expression, but she eventually nodded. "Alright," she said quietly, following them out into the night, the sounds of the party fading behind her.
