David parked his car in front of Tahani's house, he got out of the car to help Tahani, who was still feeling the effects of the alcohol,

"You do too much for me, deary," Tahani muttered, her voice thick with a mix of gratitude and annoyance, her words slightly slurred.

David chuckled lightly. "All I did was save your life," he teased, already opening the door to help her out of the car.

Tahani let him help her out of the car and walk to the entrance, Tahani stared at David with gratitude, she lightly slapped herself, trying to get sober, "thanks, again, for this, David," she said,

David turned to her and smiled, "and again, no problem," he said, then he pulled out his notebook and pen, ripped off one of the pages, scribbled something on it and handed it to Tahani,

"What's this?" Tahani asked, taking the piece of paper,

"My number, I'm guessing you don't have much friends, don't you?" David asked,

Tahani turned bright red, "of course I have friends! Ted Danson, William Jackson Harper, Manny Jacinto, Kristan Bell, D'Arcy Carden, Jamella is my favourite, she's....." she trailed off, "okay, I have some," she said but she didn't escape David's unconvinced gaze, "I have none," she admitted.

David placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, "now you have one," he said. Tahani looked up and met his gaze.

David pulled away, "good night," he said, walking away to his car.

Tahani blinked, coming back to reality, "oh! good night, David!" she called back. David smiled back at her before getting into his car and drove away. Tahani stood there smiling like anyone would if they just fell in love with the perfect person.

"Me? fall in love with Tahani Jamil? you're crazy," David muttered, trying to keep his eyes on the road,

"Ah, yes, I'm crazy," Jacob's teasing voice said from the passenger seat, "did you see yourself, dude? when you're when your friends you're like....uh, all....bubbly, you know, but when you're with her, you're like a god damn fucking prince charming!" Jacob said,

"Language," David scolded,

"Language my ass, but you know what I'm saying, right? you're into her, admit it!" Jacob pressed,

David scoffed, "I'm not into Tahani, Jake, I never fell in love before," David said

But he wasn't quite sure if he even believed those words himself.
