Etienne sat stiffly on the bed as Aleksander blow-dried his wet hair, flinching at every light touch.

Aleksander ran his fingers through the soft strands, pausing to brush a thumb over Etienne's tear-streaked cheek.

"Calm down. You're too tense," he murmured. "You'll have to get used to this."

Etienne opened his mouth to speak, then bit his lip and stayed silent.

"There," Aleksander said, smoothing down a stray lock as he turned off the blow dryer.

His thumb rubbed slowly, circling over the nape of Etienne's neck, his touch firm yet uncomfortably gentle. He leaned in, close enough that Etienne could feel his warm breath over his soft skin.

"Boo," Aleksander whispered.

Etienne flinched, letting out a small whimper at the unexpected "Boo" sounded right next to his ear.

His heart skipped a beat, nerves fraying, and he caught a chuckle. Looking up, he glimpsed faint dimples softening Aleksander's sharp smirk for just a moment.

"Oh?" Aleksander drawled, tilting his head. "Did I scare my little doll?"

He leaned in closer, the smirk deepening as he studied the fear that flickered across Etienne's face.

"You flinch and jump alot."

His inked hand trailed up to rest on Etienne's shoulder, his grip firm.

"Since you like jumping so much, why not jump on something that'll make you useful, little rabbit?"

Etienne's breath hitched. His small frame tensed beneath the weight of Aleksander's touch, but he didn't move—couldn't move.

Jump on something? What does mister mean..

His brows knitted together, lips parting slightly, but no words came out.

Aleksander leaned back, pulling a milk candy from his pocket and peeling back the wrapper.

The soft crackle caught Etienne's attention as Aleksander placed the candy on his tongue, savoring its sweetness against the lingering bitterness of tobacco.

He caught Etienne watching him, a small, knowing smirk curving on his lips.

"You want one?"

Etienne shifted uncomfortably under his gaze, unsure whether to nod or turn away. But Aleksander didn't wait for a response. He leaned forward, close enough for Etienne to feel the heat radiating from him.

Do I want one? Mister is offering it to me... so, I should take it, right? he thought.

Etienne loved sweets, though his father forbade him from having any as a form of punishment.

Aleksander slowly slid his tongue out, revealing the milk candy. "Go on, doll," he murmured, his eyes never leaving Etienne's. "Taste it," he added.
