Brian’s body is still a little shaky from everything, but he’s holding the baby close, cradling them in his arms like they’re the most precious thing in the world. His eyes are barely open, just enough to see the baby’s tiny face, but the relief of finally being done with the whole ordeal is enough to keep him grounded. Mia gently helps him sit up, wiping the sweat off his forehead with a cloth. The sun coming through the windows feels warm against his skin, but he’s still chilled from everything his body just went through.

“You’re doing great,” Mia says, her voice soft and calm. She adjusts the baby in his arms, making sure they’re comfortable. “Let’s get you settled, okay?”

Brian just nods because he’s too tired to say much. He feels this weird, light feeling he hasn’t had in months, but his whole body aches. Mia moves him carefully, making sure the blanket is snug around him. She brushes a strand of hair from his face and gives him a tired smile that’s so comforting.

“You did it, Brian. He’s here.”

Brian can barely keep it together as he looks down at his baby. A small, shaky smile pulls at his lips, and then the tears finally fall.

“I didn’t think I could,” he whispers, his voice rough from everything. He hasn’t said much in the last few hours—his body focused on the pain, on getting through it. “But I did.”

Mia’s eyes soften with pride. “You did, and you’re so strong.” She glances at Dom, who’s been silently watching them the whole time. His face is unreadable, but Brian can feel the weight of his attention.

Dom gives a quick nod, then grabs the keys from Mia’s hand. "Alright, let’s go," he says, voice steady and low, like he’s taking charge again.

Brian takes a deep breath, his chest loosening a little as the tightness fades. His body still feels sore, but knowing the hardest part is over makes it a little easier. He looks down at his baby again, fingers gently brushing the little hand that’s gripping his.

The baby’s quiet for now, probably just as exhausted as he is. Brian’s heart swells with this strange mix of emotions—love, fear, hope. It’s a lot, but it feels right. He doesn’t want to go back to the same life, the one he’s been running from, but this… this baby makes everything feel like there’s something worth fighting for.

Dom starts the car, the engine roaring to life. Vince pulls up behind them, carefully parking the Skyline right next to Dom’s car. Brian doesn’t see it, but he hears the engine hum as Vince shifts gears.

“You good, Brian?” Dom asks, his voice breaking through his thoughts.

“I’m good,” Brian murmurs, voice barely above a whisper. “Just… just tired.” He glances at the baby again, a flutter in his chest. “I’m not sure how to do this, Dom. What if I mess it up? I—”

“Hey,” Dom cuts him off, turning a little to meet his gaze. His eyes are steady, his voice firm. “You’re not alone, alright? We’ve got you. We’re with you every step of the way.”

Brian feels this rush of emotion as Dom’s words sink in. He can’t even remember the last time someone said that to him—probably never. Not his dad. It was always about control and fighting for attention. But Dom? Dom was offering something real. Something that felt… safe.

As they drive, Brian starts to feel the weight of everything pressing down on him, but it’s different now. Vince’s Skyline is ahead, the engines humming softly in the background. The drive is quieter, and the tension between them has started to melt away. Even though things haven’t gone perfectly, Brian knows he’s not alone. He’s surrounded by people who care.

Mia says a few more quiet words, but Brian doesn’t need them anymore. His focus is entirely on the baby in his arms, this small, fragile life he’s holding. His mind drifts to what comes next—the future. It’s always seemed so uncertain, but with the baby here, with the people around him, it doesn’t seem as impossible.

As they pull into the Toretto driveway, Brian feels a little nervous again, but it’s not the same. This time, he feels ready for whatever’s next. He’s ready to face it with the people who have his back.

Vince parks the Skyline next to Dom’s car. The others get out, stretching from the long drive.

Dom looks at Brian, his gaze softening. "We’re here. Let’s get you inside."

Brian takes another deep breath, everything he’s been through hitting him again. But it’s real now. This wasn’t some crazy dream. The journey’s far from over, but now he has a family—people who are there for him, ready to stand by him.

He looks down at the baby again, smiling softly, heart full.

“I’m home,” he whispers, voice thick with emotion. It’s not just the end of one thing, it’s the start of something new. And for the first time in a long while, Brian feels like he has a place to belong.
