The soft light of dawn filtered through the trees, casting a golden glow on the forest. Hati stirred from his sleep, his sharp senses quickly alert despite the tranquil surroundings. Feeling restless, he decided to take a swim in the river to wake himself up. Stripping down to nothing, he padded toward the water, his bare feet crunching against the cool grass.
The river's cold embrace made him shiver at first, but Hati welcomed it. He waded in deeper, the water rising to his chest, then dove under. The icy rush sharpened his mind, and for a few moments, he simply floated, watching the surface ripple above him.
Looking up, he noticed the sky shifting subtly, stars fading as the morning grew stronger. Hati dove deeper, the water still and quiet around him. It was as though the world above didn't exist, and for a brief moment, he meditated, finding solace in the calm.
A disturbance broke his peace—a flicker of movement on the surface. Hati rose, breaking through the water to see a figure further along the riverbank. A young girl, oblivious to his presence, was washing clothes in the gentle current.
Hati gave her little thought and began swimming toward the shore. Pulling himself out of the water, he stood, droplets cascading down his lean, muscular frame. As he ran his fingers through his wet hair, squeezing out the excess water, a sharp voice pierced the quiet.
"Stop there, you pervert!"
Hati turned his head, confused, to see a second girl—a younger one—standing just a few paces away, clutching a dagger in trembling hands. Her face was red with a mixture of embarrassment and fury.
"Pervert?" Hati repeated, his tone flat as he raised an eyebrow. "Can't a man relax in peace anymore?"
The girl didn't back down, stepping closer and pressing the tip of the blade against his bare back. Hati sighed, annoyance flickering across his features as he slowly turned to face her.
"Leave no, or I'll kill you!" she snapped, her voice high-pitched but determined.
Hati's lips curved into a grin, and he let out a deep laugh. His reaction seemed to infuriate her further, but before either could speak again, the other girl—the one washing clothes—appeared from behind a cluster of trees.
"Sister, who is this? And... why is he naked?" she asked, her wide eyes darting between Hati and her sibling.
"This guy has been spying on you!" the younger girl declared, pointing accusingly at Hati with the dagger.
Hati ran a hand through his wet hair, exhaling in irritation. "For the last time, I'm not a pervert. I came here to swim. Relax."
The older sister tilted her head, her brow furrowing as she examined him more closely. Meanwhile, the younger girl took a step forward, her grip tightening on the dagger. "Don't lie to me! You were..."
But as Hati stood to his full height, the sunlight illuminated his face. His wet hair fell away from his sharp, angular features, and both girls froze, their gazes immediately darting downward.
