*Her POV*

I was in my room as I dressed up, sitting infront of my mirror as I fix my makeup, making it as hidieous as possible. I put on the ugliest dress I found at the mall yesterday while shopping with Mother, despite her saying it fit me well. nnd only for today, I couldnt help but agree. Not that
the dress fit me well, but it fit the day, ugly, disappointing, and overall *shitty*. I finish dressing up and take a complete view of myself. I looked like I've been hiding in a cave and just got out now, the cave being my room. I hear the distant wedding bells in the large garden behind the house. Wait? Wedding bells..? Yes, Wedding bells. Annoying and loud ones. You might wonder, *my* wedding bells? Right. That would be in my farthest dreams, because these bells did certainly *not* ring for me.

I sit with my parents as I watch my sister, Elena, walk down the aisle towards no other than Riccardo Accardi: my ex. Me, who used to be one of the most popular girls in school, perfect grades, and the captain of the school's cheerleading team, just had to fall for the football team's captain. *Cliché*, typical, and probably expected. But what I certainly did not expect was for me to see the day my own sister *marries* the very guy who broke my heart and who I wanted to strangle to death even more now that he was going to be my brother-in-law. But i do not know who to strangle more, my sister or my ex? Why not go for both? "Killing two birds with one stone", they say. OR, as i say " Killing two traitors with one bullet."
Ok yeah, dark humor aside, I didn't like this day one bit.

In the middle of saying their vows, a black Lamborghini parks at the front of the house, catching everyone's attention, and I freeze as I recognize all too well the familiar face who exits the expensive car.
*"Oh no, not him!"*, I think to myself.

Alessandro Accardi. A tall, *annoying*, but handsome man with black hair and eyes exits the car in his *Brunello Cucinelli* suit, and makes his way to the venue, all eyes on him. He doesnt pay attention as he simply goes to his attributed seat and sit down with his parents. I thought he went back to Italy! But i mean..it is expected, considering he *is* Riccardo's older brother.

Our eyes met and I tensed up as we look into eachothers eyes, his face all too cold looking, a sight im now used to.
We weren't certainly the best of friends, despite knowing eachother for years. Having dated Riccardo, I met Alessandro when Riccardo invited me to his house once. And that day, I knew I had somehow met the very Satan of my life, the annoying mpsquito to my nights, the very fly to my shi---I mean, you get it. Alessandro was a pain. An arrogant prick that did nothing but annoy me everyday.
The day he graduated and I heard he returned to Italy, I thought my life would've gotten better. But this wedding just had to get shittier with him around.

I scowl as I see him look at me and I direct my attention back to the "soon-to-be-fully-married-before-the-annoying-iceberg-came-in" couple. Rectification: i was going to kill *three* birds with one stone. And ill make sure to mutilate the last one and give his pieces to dogs till there is *NOTHING LEFT BUT HIS BONES!*---
I take a deep breath.

*"Calm down, Serena...its not time to throw a tantrum."*

If it wasn't for the priest, the whole venue would've stayed in an uncomfortable silence. The ceremony continues, and eventually ends.

It was now the time to go around and talk ,or congratulate the newly weds. But I wasn't in the mood to do that. I wanted to crawl back into my cave, never having to deal with two traitors and the old pain-in-the-ass I certainly did *NOT* miss.
I sit at my family's assigned table as I look at my phone, before gazing up in the Accardi's table direction. We lock eyes again.

*"Wait...has Alessandro been staring at me?"*

My cheeks go slightly flushed at that thought before I slap my conscious back to reality and look back at my phone, trying to ignore the man sitting at the table on the opposite side of the room.
From the corner of my eye, I can see something move towards me. Wait, towards me?
I look up to see Alejandro walking in this direction and I panic.
*"What the hell--is he actually coming this way?!"*
I have no time to process what to do before he stands before me, looking down at me with his usual poker face, and ill admit, he's good at it.

He speaks in a deep but cold tone
"Follow me. I wish to discuss matters with you." he walks out of the reception towards the garden.

I pause before reluctantly standing up and follow him from behind, stopping once we reach a private spot outside.

"Uhm...Hello to you too, *asshole*. As impolite as ever, i see." I smirk, but really, i was annoyed. What could he possibly want with me?

I can see his poker face slightly turning into an annoyed one as he groans slightly.
"God, you're just as childish as when I left."
He mutters and I hear him as I glare at him.

"Whatever. Now what do you want? Actually, no, why are you back in New York? I thought you left back for Italy." I ask. I was curious, and obviously, I didn't like the fact that I had to deal with *him* now too.

I wait for a few seconds before he answers to my question. "I *was* in Italy. But I have business back here to do, so don't go thinking it's because I missed it here, which I do not. And certainly not *you*." he says, a slight hint of mockery in his tone.

I cross my arms and look at him. "I mean, it's not like I wanted *you* to come back either. Tonight was already enough of a pain, and you just added more salt to it."

"I dont care." He cuts me off abruptly. "I called you out here for a reason, so children fights aside, I have a deal for you."

I raise an eyebrow, curious to hear what he's implying. "What is it?"
I take a small pause as I see Alessandro go down on one knee before he takes out a box from his pocket and holds it out to me, an expensive looking ring with a diamond carved into it inside the box, as he asks me a question which I wouldve never expected once, and certainly not in a million years.

"Serena Rodriguez, Marry me." He says...and certainly much, that did *NOT* sound like question.

My brain's cogwheels take a while to process before functioning again.
"...WHAT?!"
