*Her POV*
Ok so here I am in my ex's brother's car on our way to his house because I agreed to *MARRY* him. Yes, Marry. So maybe those wedding bells *were* for me after all.
After agreeing to Alessandro's deal, we decided it'd be best to talk about the furthermore details privately. Hopefully, this wedding arrangement won't affect my modeling career, considering I was now getting married to one of the youngest CEO(s) in the country.
The drive to his house was quiet, no words spoken, and I seat in the uncomfortable silence while Alessandro drives. It doesn't take long before a question pops into my mind.
"Hold on a minute, didn't you sell your penthouse before you left to Italy?"I wait for his response, and he does so while still keeping an eye on the road.
"I did.""So we're going to your penthouse?"
"Who says we are?"
That catches me off-guard and a ball forms in the pit of my stomach.
"W-what do you mean..?""I rented an appartment somewhere, considering I am going to have to stay here for a year, and if things go wrong, then two."
He says bluntly.I let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh ok! I thought you were kidnapping me or something."
But that sigh of relief is quickly swallowed back up once I hear the next part of his statement.
*"A YEAR?! WITH HIM?!"*
God, I think I just signed up for my worst nightmare...
I sigh dejectively. He quirks an eyebrow at me with a slight scowl, sign that he's started to get annoyed once he hears my sigh.
"What's with the dejective sigh?"I quickly gain my bearings and laugh nervously.
"No reason! Just...tired is all! Yeah."*"Wow, Serena. *So fucking convincing.* Even a baby would've lied better, who am i shitting?"*
I pause in my thoughts as I hear him snort faintly and I glare in his direction.
"What." I growl slightly.I can see him trying to stiffle a laugh, a rare sight for the cold iceberg.
"Pff--nothing. It's just that..."
He clears his throat.
"Nevermind, it's nothing."My glare worsens as I start to get annoyed.
"Tell me!""I told you it's nothing." he responds , his face back to his daily poker face.
*"Christ! I feel like im talking to some broken AI!"* I think.
"Tell me, you asshole!"
"And there she goes with her insults." I can see Alessandro rolling his eyes.
"Ugh--god, youre a pain!"
I cross my arms and lean back in the passenger seat as I look out the window.A few minutes of silence pass before he speaks.
"You're just the worse at lying."I pause before I flare up at that comment.
"I DO NOT!""Do so."
"DO NOT!!"
"Do so."
"Do--ah! Whatever. It's not my fault, it's just...hard to lie to you because my truth about you would just hurt so bad, so i feel sorry."
*"God, Serena! Just shut the fuck up! We get it, so shut up! You're just proving even more how shitty you are at lying!--"* I scold myself inwardly before Alessandro speaks."Right~" I can see him smirking from the corner of my eye. Fuck this man and his damned smirk.
"WHATEVER, ASSHAT!"
