It was the night before the baby was due. Maya, unable to sleep, wandered into the nursery, drawn by the serene atmosphere. Moonlight streamed through the curtains, illuminating the walls. She sat in the rocking chair, her hands gently resting on her belly.

Suddenly, a soft rustling sound broke the silence. She glanced at the painting of the giraffe. The leaves it was munching seemed to sway. Maya blinked, certain it was a trick of the light. Then, the giraffe turned its head and looked at her.

"Hello, Maya," the giraffe said, its voice deep and soothing.

Maya gasped, her heart racing. "Am I dreaming?" she whispered.

"Not at all," replied the elephant, spraying a gentle mist from its trunk. "You've entered our world. And soon, so will your little one."

The lions stretched and yawned, their golden manes shimmering. "Welcome to the safari nursery," the lioness purred. "We've been waiting for you."
