⚠️ - stalking, mentioned of needles
[somewhere in the hidden base]
in the dimly lit warehouse, the silence is as thick as the shadows, yet the faint hum of distant machinery interrupted it. the air is nothing but smells of rust and dust, amplifying the scent of neglect and secrecy.
stepping in the inferior of the warehouse, the light source shone upon the newcomer. his white hoodie almost glowing in contrast to the blackness around him. on the back is a distinct blue dragon skeleton eerily lither down the fabric, footsteps echoing out the silent vicinity softly, each step deliberate, as he strode over the center of the room.
"did you get what i've asked you for?" the person he was meant to meet up with questioned without sparing a look.
across from him, the figure is taller, authority clear despite their equal alliance in the gang. the hood of matching white jacket falls back, revealing long maroon hair flowing down to his shoulders, catching the faint light in soft glints. sharp yellow eyes remained fixed on a pair of scissors twirling between his fingers—an odd object to be so mesmerized.
the guy nodded. "here." he swiftly tossed a brown envelope toward the maroon-haired male. with his free hand, he caught it effortlessly, wasting no time in tearing it open. the corner of his lips curled up into a grin, eyeing on the pictures inside. "so the infamous, lap cat, really did enrolled in bofurin. how interesting"
several photos mostly consisted of chaine. in every photo showcased from a different angle, and places she was in, minding her own business, blissfully unaware she was being watched from afar.
"chaine jabami. I can't wait to see you again." grinning maliciously, yellow eyes skimmed over the wrapper where held unmistakably long red hair inside.
"will you stop moving?! I can't concentrate if you keep moving like a wiggling worm!"
"sorry. . ."
on the infirmary bed laid a sulky umemiya, facedown, and a pout forming on his lips as chaine hovered over him with her trusty pair of tweezers to gingerly pluck out cactus' needle from his backside, gloves already on.
“so let me get this straight,” the red-haired nurse began in a deadpan tone, repeating his ridiculous accident that led to his presence in her nurse office. “you were leaving kotoha’s café, minding your own business, when someone sped by on a bike and—”
“and made me fall into a cactus. . . .” umemiya muttered.
"who freaking leaves a cactus right outside in the first place???" chaine asked incredulously. the fact an almighty top dog could be that careless—especially knowing damn well he’s immune to pain and a set of punches—was hard for her to wrap her head around.
across the room, hiragi was seen sitting on the slightly worn out couch, visibly struggling to keep a straight face. "it’s really something. the timing, the precision—”
“don’t start,” chaine raised an eyebrow at the platinum-haired male's attempts to hold back his laughter with all his might. “unless you want to be on this table next, keep it down.
"what I'm saying, you really took the ‘falling for plants’ thing to the next level.”
“what do you expect? not my fault it just happened so fast!"umemiya whined.
