⚠️ — brawl fight, mention of blood, cursing.
two certain first-year students standing a few feet apart— once alive chatter yet peaceful silence taken over by an undeniable rising tension, as sharp, glowering glares were exchanged.
the rest of the students did nothing but watch, paralyzed by fear, unable to inch a movement nor have courage to step forward due to none other than sugishita kyotaro, the well known top dog's devoted fanatic.
suo isn’t exaggerating when it comes to sugeshita's deep-seated dislike for anyone who dares to challenge umemiya's position as the top dog. yet sakura remains unfazed by this animosity— instead, he was delighted with the thrilling fun, ready to confront it head-on.
crimson blood already gushes down sugishita's top lip and lower jaw from a brutal kick. the metallic taste mingling with the adrenaline surging his system. brows furrow deeper in pure agitation while glaring at his smirking rival, his fisted hands ready for another set of attack.
"s-sakura—” nirei murmurs out his own concern for his heterochromatic friend, with suo standing beside him.
but of course, sakura being sakura, is indifferent to the looming consequences of his actions he knows all too well; all that mattered was seizing the opportunity.
sugeshita may be the one that ignited the brawl, but to sakura, it was the ideal chance to prove himself and showcase his strength.the pair charge forward.
suddenly, sugishita felt something—or rather someone—strike the back of his knee with enough force to make him stumble forward. the fanatic's knees made contact with the floor just as sakura's fist cut through the air, missing its target in the process.
"gyah!!-"he found himself losing his balance.
someone casually stepped in, extending an arm for sakura to latch on, preventing his fall. blinking in comprehension of what had just transpired, he whipped his head toward the owner. a pair of impassive teal eyes met his heterochromatic gaze.
"just what are you two goofballs doing?" chaine questioned bit irritatedly, as sakura’s perplexed expression instantly shifted to a flustered one, his face flushing beet red in realization that a stranger had easily caught him in ease. he hastily straightens his position and steps away in the right amount of distance.
"what the-? when did you get here?!?" sakura exclaimed in a stuttering mess, visage of genuine surprise plastered on his face, thinking the red headed must have snuck in unnoticed.
skimming over, there was no mistaking it: the person who had intervened in the fight was undeniably female—why was she at an all-boys school? it was a place where she clearly didn’t belong, yet there she's here.
"does it matter? if anything, i should be asking what caused such ruckus here." chaine replied, adjusting her big round rimmed glasses with an air of authority before narrowing her gaze at him. "from what i’ve seen, you two were practically at each other's throats. well that's a pretty serious offense I found it unacceptable. do you even know what you're doing, little boy?"
"little boy?!"
"oh shit-"
"talk about timing"
"jabami-senpai is here!"
"they're so busted"displeased by the bold move of her interruption, sakura's expression darkened, annoyance creasing his brow as his index finger pointed accusingly in her direction. "so what? it doesn't meant you should just barge in like that-"
