Chapter 10

Chapter 10: Dear friend, we meet again

    As Ark hear that familiar disgusting voice, he turned around and face him as the light lightly illuminated around him making him look an angel that descendent to earth to grace them of his presence.

    Noelle swallowed a big lump in his throat seeing Ark, he look beautiful.....much more beautiful than any man or woman that he saw, even Eros couldn't hold a candle from how beautiful Ark is.

   Ark noticed that Noelle was just standing there gawking so he fake cough to gain his attention, "Lord Roa do you need something from me?"

Noelle then snapped out of it as he cleared his throat covering his dazed and blushing face, "Y-yes, I want to talk about how you had treated Eros, he had complained to me that you have been bullying him for months now."

As Ark hears what Noelle had said, the airy but kind look disappeared from his face as he look at Noelle with something that was described emotionless, eyes empty but also filled with darkness and hatred.

Noelle was startled as he hadn't seen this kind of look from Ark before and it was unnerving but also hurt, "I....I didn't mean to offend you Ark, I just want to ask you to stop bullying Eros just because he had a lower status than you."

Ark didn't bother to comment and just turn his back as he continued to paint, after awhile he spoke again, "so do you believe him?"

Noelle was caught off guard by Ark's question as he was loss for words before stuttering, "I-I'm sorry?"

Ark looks at him blankly as he stopped painting, "do you believe Lord Eros's claim of me bullying him?" Ark's eyes was judging Noelle and was waiting for him to make his move.

Noelle swallowed his saliva as he felt intimidated, he knew depending on his answer, he might lose someone he cares about.

'but when did he care about Ark?'  That's for Noelle to ponder later.

"I-I'm still not sure..... " Noelle looks away from Ark, trying to avoid his gaze.

Ark stayed silent for a bit before putting down his paintbrush, "I think we should not see each other anymore Lord Roa."

Noelle quickly turn his head back to look at Ark, trying to see if he's joking, "w-what? You're joking right?"

Ark's eyes showed that he was serious about what he said, "I'm not joking, Lord Roa. From what I see, you never once thought of me as your friend."

Noelle look at Ark trying to make sense about everything, "N-no.... you're my friend, we've been friends since we were young! You can't just—"

"Yes I can, seeing that you believe what Eros had said to you about me, I think my decision is right." What Ark said stunned Noelle as he was slapped with the hard truth.

Ark was right, Noelle have never considered Ark as his friend since they were children, often seeing him as a annoying fly or a pesk.

Ark had always tried to be kind to him and give him gifts and he would just ignore him and either throw the gifts or give them away to Eros.

Noelle can't let Ark leave him, Ark was his first, he would always be his.

Noelle look at Ark as he clenched his fist, "no. You can't end our friendship like this."

Ark look at Noelle, not even bothered or shock, "it's not up to you to decide, if I wanted to end our friendship, it's my choice."

Noelle then look at Ark with determined eyes, "NO! I WON'T AGREE TO THIS!!" Noelle was determined and paranoid.

Noelle look at Ark with pleading eyes, "please? Just.....give me time to make it right, think about it, okay?"

Ark look at him blankly before turning away from him as he continued to paint, "fine, I'll give you a month."

Noelle was delighted as he engulfed Ark in a hug, startling the smaller man, "Thank you Ark, you won't regret it, I promise."

Noelle felt that Ark fitted just right in his arms, he can hug his tiny waist with one arm, not like Eros who was slightly bigger than Ark. Noelle then put his head on Ark's fluffy hair and sniff his hair.

'It smells like peaches and milk, so cute'

Ark was uncomfortable and tap Noelle's arm to let him go.

Noelle quickly let go of Ark as his face turn red, "a-ah....sorry....I got carried away."

'what the hell has got into me? It wasn't like me to initiate physical contacts but hugging Ark feels.....just right. Like I've been missing something my whole life and now I just found it.'

Noelle then cleared his throat covering his blushing face again, "R-Right.... I'll be leaving now, as for my accusations about you bullying Eros, don't take it seriously now."

Noelle then briskly walk away from there, leaving Ark in the garden.

Noelle clutch his heart, feeling it beating fast, somehow it doesn't feels wrong. He then headed back to his carriage to go back to the Roa Estate.

Arriving back at the Roa Estate, one of the servants quickly inform Noelle that Eros was there waiting for him.

Noelle quickly frown as he walk where Eros was, feeling like another headache is about to come.

'what's he doing here?'

Noelle then arrived at waiting room where he saw a brown hair, Eros. As Eros spotted him, he quickly ran towards him and hug him tight

"Ellie! You're home! How did it go? Did Ark say sorry?" Noelle face quickly frown more, seeing how Eros feels excited about Ark being scolded.

"Eros, you seem to be happy about Ark being scolded." Noelle pointed out.

Eros quickly and panickly adjusted his expression as he look at Noelle pitifully, "n-no I'm not....I was just.....happy to see you back!"

Noelle quickly but gently pushed away Eros, he used to be delighted when Eros hugs him but now he felt disgusted, like he's been tainted or dirtied.

"Go home Eros and I suggest you don't come here without any letter sent first." Noelle quickly called his servant to escort Eros out and command them not to let Eros enter easily in the Roa mansion again

Eros was shocked, first he was kicked out from the Decroix estate and was banned from entering, then the Royal Palace and now from here? What the hell is going on?!

"W-wait! Ellie, what do you mean—" Noelle then cut him off.

"And stop calling me Ellie, call me by my title, at least have the decency to do so."

Eros was stunned, Noelle never minded that Eros calls his name affectionate but now he's forbidding him.

As Eros was kicked out of the Roa Estate and was escorted to his carriage, he clenched his fist as he felt seething anger towards Ark.

"Arkian Theseus Decroix!! They're supposed to be mine!! What have you done to them?!"

I've been visiting a psychiatrist to help me with my depression and anxiety.
