Chapter 13: A disastrous ball

As Helios continued to guide Ark away from Alexandrix, he can feel the anger simmering inside Helios waiting for it to boil over.

Ark is now frustrated and he quickly pulled his hand from Helios's grip slightly confusing Helios, "is something wrong little bunny? Is my grip too tight?"

"No, Your Highness, I just feel uncomfortable being pulled."

"Well alright little bunny, I am just protecting you from any men that might harm you."

Ark just tried maintained a smile but he can feel a small vein pop out from anger, 'protecting my ass, you're the biggest threat here! You killed me before!!'

"Well, I appreciate what you are doing Your Highness, I can defend myself if there are any problems."

Helios wants to say a lot more to Ark when he saw Thomas calling him over, he then turn back to Ark as he ruffles the smaller man's hair, "I'll be back, little bunny stay here."

Ark watches Helios walk towards Thomas as they speak in hushed tone before he walk in another direction.

Eros had been watching Ark since he had arrived, he was seething with anger and wanted to do something as a revenge and gain the attention.

Eros then saw Helios leaving Ark behind and he finally found an open as Ark is now alone.

'now's my chance! It's time for you to pay for my misery! You thief!'

Eros then walk towards Ark as he saw a waiter giving Ark a glass of wine and deliberately bumped into Ark as the wine poured over him and he cried softly.

"Y-young Master Arkian, how could you be so cruel? I-I just want to ask you something"

Ark was left speechless as he didn't even do anything and was just holding a now empty wine glass.

This catches the attention of the surrounding nobles as whispers began to spread across the room.

'how could he be so cruel?'

'bullying those who are lower status than him'

'I almost fell for his face but his personality disgust me'

Ark remained quiet as he became the target of insult, he remembered this, as it had happened before, his fist clenched in anger.

'I really can't escape the plot, huh?'

Meanwhile Eros was smirking inwardly, knowing he is gaining the sympathy of the other nobles.

'this is your punishment for stealing my men!'

Just then Lucius and Alessio arrived at the scene, hearing the commotion and saw their little brother being front and center meanwhile Eros was crying on the ground, wine slightly staining his clothes.

"What is going on here?" Lucius demanded as he walk towards the center with Alessio following him.

Eros quickly grabbed Lucius hand with tears in his eyes, "Oh M'lord, I just wanted to talk to Young Master Arkian when he suddenly poured wine on me and pushed me to the ground."

Both Lucius and Alessio's eyes widened before looking at Ark as Alessio hesitantly asked Ark, "is...is this true, Ark?"

Ark remained silent which Lucius and Alessio had taken his silence as yes and was quickly disappointed at him.

Even Helios and Noelle who came over afterwards was also looking at Ark slightly disappointed but also skeptical at Eros's statement. Noelle wanted to say something to Ark but he chose to remain silent.
