Chapter 2

In the midst of this horrible pain, I had a wonderful dream. I saw a beautiful family, a joyful one. If it is a part of my lost memories, and that was my family. I will love to go back home to that home. The dream consists of two little girls coming back home from school to a loving mother. They seemed close, the two girls. It felt so real, peaceful, and calm. Like the end of a story. A happy ending. Then... the ground started trembling, and I found myself in a plane. Then I heard my name, "Sarah, are you awake?" And that is it; I woke up. Waking up to an unknown face that looked worried.

"Who are you, a nurse?" I asked, "Wait, don't you recognize me? Am your sister Dorcas?" She said, with eyes that looked like she was about to cry. I felt bad because I just couldn't remember her. Nothing about her remained me of anything. All I had was that uncomfortable feeling. I saw her like a stranger and I felt no connection. My mind is blank, empty, I'm scared. But I don't know what I'm scared of—the new face or me that can't seem to recognize anyone. But, well, it is normal, right? I got no memory.  I have no past; maybe it's a new start. Maybe there are beautiful things to come.  It can never get worse than this, can it?
