Silence reigned in the library, yet it was not the usual respectful silence, it was a heavy silence. Each of the students held their breaths. Zephirine, sitting at her favorite table, was also wary of this strange atmosphere. The dry clicking of the small heels worn by the cold woman crossing the sacred workplace of the beautiful blue-eyed. This woman Zephirine recognized immediately upon seeing her, it was none other than Mrs. Saxe. The representative of the investigators responsible for the Ermington case stopped at the student's height. The latter nodded and stood up in silence under the curious glances of the people present in the room filled with books. The woman without saying a word left the bookstore followed by Zephirine. The confused young girl did not understand why Mrs. Saxe would be back unless she had discovered new things about the investigation. As she had done in the past, the intelligent blonde followed the woman into Mr. Dufrais's office. The tall man was standing on the other side of her chair. When Zephirine sat down across from him, Mrs. Saxe finally spoke.

"-Miss Heisenberg, we have summoned you today in order to ask you questions about your friend."

The poor child felt her heart drop in her chest as she realized that she was going to have to answer questions about her friend's death again.

"-Very well, I will begin without further ado. Miss Heisenberg, did you know about this?" the woman asked, pushing her notebook with the red leather cover in her direction.

"-No." Zephirine replied, while carefully observing the police discovery.

"-So you do not know its contents?"

"-No." Said the young girl briefly, intrigued by this strange notebook whose existence she did not know until today. On the engraved cover were Wendy's initials, so there was no doubt that it had belonged to her. "-If I may, where did you find this?"

"-Since you seem to ignore it, I will tell you. Mrs. Ermington found it in her daughter's things. It contains collages of photographs, letters, drawings, some piano scores and mainly stories describing her days."

After hearing this, the perceptive young girl understood that something was not correct.

"-There must be a mistake, you see Wendy among her many talents did not have that of music... She never played the piano, nor even showed the slightest interest other than when it was to help her practice for her dance."

Mrs. Saxe smiled, with that lifeless smile before speaking again. "-So you have understood why you are here, I would like you to observe his scores and tell me if they belong to you."

The woman opened the notebook and motioned for Zephirine to explore its contents. Confused, she tried to decipher the letters of the authors of the musical notes without success. She silently turned the pages without finding the scores that should have belonged to her.

"-They are not mine, I am sorry I cannot give you more information." Her voice began to tremble gently. "-I do not know who they belong to, I am not able to give you the help you need."

"-Oh my child breathes, I am sure that by taking the time to observe the contents you will be able to tell us more." Mr. Du Frais said kindly, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"-Probably..." Zephirine murmured as she took the mysterious diary back into her bony hands. She turned the pages one by one, she looked carefully at the photos but they were mainly of Florette, Agatha and herself. The sheets were nothing alarming, they were certainly the melodies used by Wendy during her training. The stories were banal and contained nothing useful for the investigation. No matter how carefully she scrutinized each of the pages, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. However, the moment Zephirine closed the diary a blank sheet fell out.
