Chapter 6

'After all...I'm starving'

I stormed inside my house, and grabbed a snack from the cupboard.

I just realized, that people think that we don't know the human tongue. 

I mean, they're not wrong. But it was quite easy for me, since we are related to humans. So, uh, yeah. Just clearing that up.

"REI! Are you REALLY  taking a snack right now?"

I spinned around.

"UGH! Are you seriously judging me right now, Cali?"

Cali's my sister.

"Uhm. Yes, I am."

"Don't be too harsh." says Cosmos. 

He's in his human form now. LOL.

"AHHHHHH! Oh- It's just you...haha...ha."

Cosmos looked scared.

"I'm sorry! I swear-"

"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE-"

Cali started chasing Cosmos around the house, which was hilarious.

I snickered, until my mom came in.

And let me tell you, she looked PISSED.

"YOU TWO. STOP." says my mom angrily.

Cali and Cosmos stopped in their tracks immediately. 

My mom sighs.

"Cali, go to your room. You missed another meeting, AGAIN."

"Mom, you know I have studi-"

"Never again, you understand?"

Cali sighs. "Fine."

She stormed up to her room.

"Cosmos, go guard the common room. NOW."

Cosmos nodded sheepishly, and dived back into the water.

"Why didn't you stop them, my dear?"

I just looked down.

"It was pretty funny."

"Go to your room, and get you sister for me, please?"

I nodded, and went to get Cali.

I knocked on her door.

"Cali? Mom wants you..."

She opened the door.

"Thanks..." she muttered, and she trudged down the stairs.

I went to my room, and called up Ezra.

"Hey Ezra? Are you free rn?"

"Uh...lemme check......"

"Yep! Wanna come over?"

"How did you know I was going to ask that?"

"I have mind reading powers."

"Seriously?" I said in disbelief.

"Nah. I'm just joking."

I heard him laughing through the phone.

"I'm coming over now."

"Alright! See you soon!"

I hung up, and walked over to his house.

But, of course, not before I asked my mom (she said yes, she was busy scolding my sister)

I ringed Ezra's doorbell.

"Rei!" 

Ezra had opened the door almost immediately, which was surprising.

"Hi Ezra."

"Don't just stand there, c'mon in!"

I giggled.

"Alright, alright. Someone's a little impatient, huh?"

He lightly blushed.

"I- Just, uh....follow me. I have a movie I want to show you."

I laughed and followed him.

"What's the movie called?"

"Oshi No Ko. It's an anime, actually...haha..."

That name had sparked my interest.

"You watch Oshi No Ko too?! What episode are you on??!!"

He looked lost in thought for a second.

"Uh....I think I'm on Season 1, episode.....9?"

"You're only on Season 1? I'm on season 2....but it's fine though."

"I....."

He looked embarrassed.

"It's fine Ezra, I'll watch it with you, 'k?"

He nodded, still looking a little embarrassed, but turned on the TV. 

And so, the movie started.
